Lexington Catholic coach Donald L. Tegt started the following lineup: 5-11 Jr. Chloe Treece, 5-8 Sr. Farah Weldon, 5-10 Sr. Emma Frank, 5-6 Jr. Hannah Carlisle, and 5-7 So. Katherine Truitt. Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 6-0 Sr. Kaylie Wise, 5-7 Jr. Brianna Penney, 6-0 Sr. Kenady Tompkins, 5-6 Fr. Maleiyah Moore, and 5-6 Jr. Emma Price.
Scott County defeated Lexington Catholic by the score of 66-62. There were five lead changes and four ties in the game. Scott County shot 39.3% from the field including eight of 23 from the three point line. The Lady Cardinals connected on 14 of 21 free throws, pulled down 45 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 13 Lexington Catholic turnovers. Lexington Catholic shot 32.3% from the field including four of 22 from beyond the arc. The Lady Knights connected on 16 of 21 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 19 Scott County turnovers.
Maleiyah Moore led Scott County with 21 points including four three point baskets, and four rebounds. Kenady Tompkins added 18 points and four rebounds. Emma Price recorded 16 points including four three point baskets. Kaylie Wise chipped in with three points and 15 rebounds. Brianna Penney chipped in with two points and nine rebounds.
Chloe Treece led Lexington Catholic with 17 points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Katherine Truitt added nine points including five of six free throws and five rebounds. 5-8 Sr. Ariel West recorded including two three point baskets. 5-8 So. Olivia Bretz chipped in with six points and six rebounds.
