Simon Kenton coach Trent Steiner started the following lineup: 6-1 So. Andrew Smith, 6-1 Sr. Logan Schwartz, 6-2 Sr. Jon Hensley, 6-0 Sr. Jeremy Davis, and 6-0 Jr. Kelly Niece.  Covington Catholic coach Scott Ruthsatz countered with 6-5 Fr, Chandler Starks, 6-3 Sr. Hunter Sommerkamp, 6-5 Sr. Neil Green, 6-0 Sr. Grant Disken, and 6-3 Jr. Donovan Stocks.

Covington Catholic defeated Simon Kenton by the score of 66-43.  Covington Catholic shot 54.9% from the field including six of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on four of seven free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and committed nine turnovers.  Simon Kenton shot 48.5% from the field including five of 11 from beyond the arc.  The Pioneers connected on six of six free throws, pulled down 17 rebounds, and committed 12 turnovers.

Neil Green led Covington Catholic with 23 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals.  Chandler Starks added 10 points, six rebounds, and six assists.  Grant Disken chipped in with 10 points, four assists, and three steals.  Donovan Stocks recorded eight points and three rebounds.

Logan Schwartz led Simon Kenton with 13 points.  Kelly Niece added 10 points and Jeremy Davis recorded nine points, three assists, and two steals.
