Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman started the following lineup: 6-5 Jr. Zan Payne, 6-3 Jr. TC Price, 6-7 Sr. Peter Whitman, 6-2 Sr. Blake Scott, and 6-3 Sr. Luke Johnson. Lincoln County coach Jeff Jackson countered with 5-10 Sr. Chase Phillips, 5-10 Sr. Tanner McAninch, 6-2 Sr. Carlos Nunez, 5-9 Sr. Devin Alcorn, and 5-9 Sr. Noah Young.
Luke Johnson hit two free throws in the final four seconds to give Lexington Catholic a 61-60 victory over Lincoln County. There were seven ties and 12 lead changes in the game. Lexington Catholic shot 52.3% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line. The Knights connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored six points off 11 Lincoln County turnovers. Lincoln County shot 43.4% from the field including six of 25 from beyond the arc. The Patriots connected on eight of nine free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 15 Lexington Catholic turnovers.
Zan Payne led Lexington Catholic with 15 points and eight rebounds. Luke Johnson added 14 points, five rebounds, seven assists, and two blocked shots. Peter Whitman recorded nine points and five rebounds.
Noah Young led Lincoln County with 29 points three rebounds, and four assists. Tanner McAninch added 14 points and four rebounds. Devin Alcorn recorded 11 points and three three point baskets. Blake Smith pulled down eight rebounds.
