Madison Central vs. Nicholas County (Girls)

Madison Central coach Robert Cooksey started the following lineup: 5-10 Sr. Lindsey Johns, 5-10 Sr. Charity Mack, 6-0 Sr. Mallie Cornett, 5-4 Jr. Bailee Vanover, and 5-7 Sr. Kasi Schneid.  Nicholas County coach Greg Letcher countered with 5-9 Sr. Autumn Martin, 5-5 Sr. Grace Kiskaden, 5-11 Sr. Allison Howard, 5-4 Jr. Samantha Sowell, and 5-5 Sr. Hannah Jolly.

 

Madison Central pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Nicholas County 51-39.  Madison Central shot 50% from the field including seven of 12 from the three point line.  The Indians connected on 12 of 15 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 15 Nicholas County turnovers.  Nicholas County shot 28.8% from the field including seven of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jackets connected on two of four free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Madison Central turnovers.

 

Lindsey Johns led Madison Central with 18 points including two three point baskets.  Charity Mack added 12 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Bailee Vanover recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Mallie Cornett chipped in with six points, three rebounds, and eight blocked shots.  Kasi Schneid added five points and six rebounds.

 

Autumn Martin led Nicholas County with 15 points and nine rebounds.  Grace Kiskaden added 12 points on four three point baskets.
