Lexington Catholic coach Scott True countered with 5-7 So. Jay Ballard, 5-7 So. Maylo Given, 5-9 Jr. Maya Jazdzewski, 5-2 Jr. Olivia Haines, and 5-5 Jr. Ashley Frebis.  Lexington Christian Academy coach Kent Miller countered with 5-8 Jr. Payton Rogers, 5-8 So. Grace Combs, 5-8 Sr. Charis Hill, 5-5 So. Bethany Selby, and 5-7 Fr. Mackenzie Buckler.

 

Lexington Christian Academy eked out a 35-33 victory over Lexington Catholic tonight.  LCA shot 32.3% from the field including three of 12 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 12 of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 10 points off seven Lexington Catholic turnovers.  Lexington Catholic shot 21.2% from the field including four of 29 from beyond the arc.  The Lady Knights connected on seven of eight free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored nine points off 17 LCA turnovers.

 

Bethany Selby led LCA with 15 points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two blocked shots.  Charis Hill added seven points and seven rebounds.  Grace Combs also scored seven points.  Payton Rogers pulled down six rebounds.

 

Olivia Haines led Lexington Catholic with eight points including two three point baskets and six rebounds.  Maylo Given added seven points.  Maya Jazdzewski recorded five points and five rebounds.  5-5 So. Catey Nash also scored five points. Jay Ballard added two points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
