Adair County coach James Turner started the following lineup: 5-7 So. Rachel Parrish, 5-6 So. Ashley Owens, 5-9 Sr. Katherine Curry, 5-0 Jr. Kyla Kesler, and 5-5 Fr. Lexi Feese. Wayne County coach Tim Pyles countered with 5-9 Sr. Ashton Bell, 5-7 Sr. Taylor Bell, 5-10 Sr. Megan Burchett, 5-7 8th Grade Macey Blevins, and 5-8 Jr. Hannah Jackson.
Wayne County pulled away in the second half to defeat Adair County by a score of 79-41. Wayne County shot 45% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line. They connected on 14 of 22 free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Adair County turnovers. Adair County shot 30% from the field including four of 12 from beyond the arc. They connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored two points off seven Wayne County turnovers.
Ashton Bell led Wayne County with 17 points including seven of nine free throws and eight rebounds. Hannah Jackson added 15 points including two three point baskets. Megan Burchett recorded 12 points and six rebounds. 5-7 Fr. Haleigh Criswell also scored 12 points on four three point baskets. Taylor Bell chipped in with 11 points and five rebounds.
Lexi Feese led Adair County with 12 points including two three point baskets. Katherine Curry added nine points and 10 rebounds. Ashley Owens recorded eight points including six of eight free throws. Rachel Parrish chipped in with six points and six rebounds. Kyla Kesler added four points and seven rebounds.
