Boyle County coach Greg Edwards started the following lineup: 5-10 Jr. Emmy Harris, 5-8 Sr. Marlee Smith, 5-10 So. Gracie Edmiston, 5-5 Sr. Allison Hall, and 5-6 So. Danielle Roney. Bryan Station coach Shawn Ransom countered with 5-6 Sr. Asjah Hall, 5-5 Jr. Carah Burdette, 5-6 Sr. Destiny Cozart, 5-6 Fr. KeyLynn Clay, and 5-4 Sr. Ezhaunaii Ighodaro.
Boyle County pulled away after the first quarter to earn a 63-54 victory over a very athletic Bryan Station squad. Bryan Station has some newcomers on the squad and will develop into an excellent team with experience. Boyle County ran a very efficient offense and pounded the boards today. Boyle County shot 36.1% from the field including four of 18 from the three point line. The Lady rebels connected on 15 of 23 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and committed 17 turnovers. Bryan Station shot 38% from the field including four of 18 from beyond the arc. The Lady Defenders connected on four of seven free throws and committed 21 turnovers.
Gracie Edmiston led Boyle County with 24 points and seven rebounds. Danielle Roney and Emmy Harris each recorded 12 points and 11 rebounds. Marlee Smith also scored 12 points and pulled down nine rebounds. Gracie Edmiston was named Game MVP.
Ezhaunaii Ighodaro led Bryan Station with 12 points. KeyLynn Clay and Destiny Cozart each scored nine points and Carah Burdette added seven points.
