Model coach Wes Scarberry started the following lineup: 6-3 Sr. Logan Jackson, 6-2 Jr. Andrew Backus, 6-5 Sr. Alex Chen, 5-9 Sr. Ephraim Otieno, and 6-0 Sr. Blake Benson,  Lexington Catholic coach Brandon Salsman countered with 6-5 So. Zan Payne, 6-3 So. TC Price, 6-6 So. Max Sparkman, 5-11 Jr. Blake Scott, and 6-4 Jr. Luke Johnson.

Model led 46-41 after three quarters but Lexington Catholic exploded in the final quarter to outscore Model 38-15 to earn a 79-61 victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 48.3% from the field including five of 19 from the three point line.  The Knights connected on 18 of 21 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 23 points off 18 Model turnovers.  Model shot 48.8% from the field including nine of 17 from beyond the arc.  The Patriots connected on 10 of 19 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored six points off eight Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Luke Johnson led Lexington Catholic with 35 points including three three point baskets, six rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.  Zan Payne added 17 points including 11 of 11 free throws and 11 rebounds.  Max Sparkman recorded 12 points on six of six from the field.

Ephraim Otieno led Model with 34 points including four three point baskets and five rebounds.  Alex Chen added 11 points and 10 rebounds.  Andrew Backus chipped in with eight points and five rebounds.
