Sayre coach Scotty Sutton started the following lineup: 5-7 Sr. Cammie Croney-Clark, 5-6 8th grade Sydney Strup, 6-3 So. Gabby Bowie, 5-7 Jr. Hadyn White, and 5-8 Jr. Molly Manella. Bethlehem coach Chris Taylor countered with 5-6 Jr. Katie Ulrich, 5-6 Jr. Mackenzie Hagan, 5-8 Sr. Shawn Zellers, 5-6 Jr. Olivia Simpson, and 5-4 Fr. Morgan Salsman.
Sayre trailed 17-12 at halftime but outscored Bethlehem 20-8 in the third quarter on their way to a 44-42 victory. Sayre held a 35-25 lead early in the final quarter but Bethlehem rallied to make the game close. There were two lead changes and five ties in the game. Sayre shot 50% from the field including three of nine from the three point line. The Lady Spartans connected on seven of 13 free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 12 Bethlehem turnovers. Bethlehem shot 29.8% from the field including three of seven from beyond the arc. The Banshees connected on 11 of 19 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored seven points off 13 Sayre turnovers. Bethlehem held a 9-0 margin in second chance points.
Gabby Bowie led Sayre with 17 points, eight rebounds, and four blocked shots. Holly Manella added 15 points including three three point baskets and pulled down six rebounds.
Mackenzie Hagan and Olivia Simpson led Bethlehem with 13 points each. Shawn Zellers added nine points and 11 rebounds.
