Undocumented Drivers
I have a great idea. Anyone arrested for driving without a license, should tell the Judge they were NOT driving Illegally, they are just an Undocumented Driver!

Then if they happen to be in a Blue State, before a Progressive Liberal Judge in the spirit of intellectual, ethical and moral consistency, they would have to be released.

That makes as much sense as this from Buster Blocker's Inmuscatine. Revolving Door Border

FOXNews.com - Mexican Deported 7 Times Pleads Not Guilty to Illegal Re-Entry:

CHATTANOOGA, Tennessee — An illegal immigrant who has been arrested previously on drug and firearms charges and deported seven times Friday pleaded not guilty to illegally re-entering the United States.

Felipe Garcia-Morales, 28, a citizen of Mexico, entered the plea and agreed to be represented by a federal public defender.

Chattanooga police arrested Garcia-Morales for driving without a license July 14. He is also charged with violating federal probation in a previous case in Arizona.

U.S. Magistrate Susan Lee, with the assistance of a Spanish-speaking interpreter, ordered Garcia-Morales held without bond pending an Oct. 31 trial.

Records show Garcia-Morales was most recently deported March 3 to Mexico and forced to leave the United States several times before.

Think about all this the next time you see a Miller Beer or if you happen to be a Union member associated with the AFL-CIO when you look at your Union dues stub.

Think about the insanity of the taxpayer having to pay for a trial for "illegally re-entering the United States." for someone who has previously been deported seven times!

AFL-CIO Working to get rights for illegal immigrants
Union tries to get organized with day laborers

Listen to this story

Many rank-and-file members of the AFL-CIO question why their union is pushing for legalization for undocumented day laborers. But proponents say the move is a sign of things to come. Rachel Dornhelm reports.

Photo: Tim Boyle ? Getty Images

It may be very fortunate for me that where I am at the present time I can't listen to the above clip. I might hurt my hand on something. Here is the text, however and my comments if any will be in red bold text.

SCOTT JAGOW: I think maybe I take Labor Day too literally. I always end up working on Labor Day. But I hope you have the day off. This year won't be the cheeriest of holidays for the labor movement. Membership is down. The two biggest union federations can't agree on a vision. One of them, the AFL-CIO, hopes a new tactic might bridge that divide: Working with day laborers to get rights for illegal immigrants. Rachel Dornhelm reports.

Rights for illegal aliens, not immigrants, immigrants enter legally.
What rights do they want for illegal aliens? The right to break our Laws?

RACHEL DORNHELM: At the crowded San Francisco Day Labor Center, Julio Reolla, who came from Peru four years ago, talks about his life working on jobs he picks up through the center or standing on the street.

JULIO REOLLA [interpreter]: We, along with other immigrant workers, men and women, tend to do the most dangerous, the dirtiest and exploitative jobs around.

He says he was very happy to learn that the AFL-CIO voted to partner with day labor centers like this to push for rights and legalization for unauthorized workers.(illegal aliens working illegally) He recognizes that there may be some tension with existing union members who see day laborers as a threat. But he shrugs it off.
One might expect the same shrug from a thief who was asked how he felt about the rights of his victims

REOLLA [interpreter]: I think it's natural. These organizations have different issues. Despite these differences, their goals sometimes coincide.

Greg Feere, head of the Contra Costa Building and Construction Trades Council, part of the AFL-CIO, says people are talking about the union federation's growing involvement with day laborers. But he hasn't gotten answers to his basic question:

GREG FEERE: So tell me how do we organize them and how do we put them to work? And so far at this point nobody's comin' up with any answers. you don't, you deport them. Maybe you want to know how to make a burgular's job easier too?

That may take time. One of the organizers of the San Francisco Day Labor Center, Renee Saucedo, says right now this is a political alliance.

RENEE SAUCEDO: The AFL-CIO will work on educating its members.how to bend over to make it easier for the Union Bosses to shaft us? We as day labor centers will work on educating our members. Because our members, sometimes because of negative experiences that people have had with unions in their home countries, don't trust unions in the U.S.

The AFL-CIO says the goal of their alliance is not to organize day laborers as dues-paying members, at least not now.no it's for politcal power later, screw the dues paying members Instead, it's to further national political goals, like removing the guestworker program from the immigration reform legislation.SEE? And to work on the local level, exposing unscrupulous non-union contractors and supporting one another's labor actions. Another goal, according to Ana Avendano, the director of the AFL-CIO's Immigrant Worker Program, is to bring workers in the U.S. back together.

ANA AVENDANO: One of the reasons that workers, in our experience, see other workers as threats is because both the immigration debate and the economic situation in this country has left people with a very unsettling feeling. And, unfortunately, both of those things have turned workers against workers.

UC Berkeley professor Harley Shaiken says this alliance shows how the labor movement has done an about-face in the past six to seven years in its attitudes towards immigration. He says there is likely lingering anti-immigrant bias among rank-and-file workers.I am NOT anti-immigrant I AM anti-ILLEGAL ALIENS

HARLEY SHAIKEN: But the potential gains far outweigh the tensions. If immigrant workers, particularly day laborers, are unorganized, they will of course drive wages and working conditions down. But if they are organized, they can work together with labor to improve conditions for everyone. particularly desirable for the coffers of Progressive Left collections

Shaiken says the rank-and-file should embrace newcomers to reverse the decline in union membership. Right now, he says, immigrants make up 15 percent of the U.S. workforce.
Yeah the Union Bosses figure small dues, due to small wages from a whole LOT of workers is even better than large dues from a smaller group of workers, more Political Power and screw the members
SHAIKEN: In the next 20 years or so immigrants will comprise 30 to 40 percent of all newcomers to the workforce. So for labor to be strong tomorrow requires organizing immigrants today.

There you go, fellow Union Members the AFL-CIO leadership figures we are expendable, and their future is with the Illegals
The new partnership will be on display this Labor Day at immigration policy marches around the country where the AFL-CIO will help bus day labor participants to the rallies.

In San Francisco, I'm Rachel Dornhelm for Marketplace.

Miller Low Life
Forget Miller High Life, the company no longer deserves any adjective other than one that implies the concept, "crawling on their bellies".

Michelle Malkin leads the way on this story from the Chicago Tibune in.
Illegal alien march...sponsored by Miller Beer!,and No more Miller time

So what is the flap all about read it and try to keep your last meal down.

Why this immigrant rights march is brought to you by Miller
"By Oscar Avila
Tribune staff reporter
Published September 1, 2006

Marchers had to duck into fast-food restaurants for water when they first took to Chicago's streets in support of illegal immigrants five months ago. At the next two marches, family-owned grocery stores offered free bottled water from trucks emblazoned with their names.

This time, as demonstrators march from Chinatown to House Speaker Dennis Hastert's (R-Ill.) Batavia office this weekend, they will have Miller Brewing Co., as a sponsor. The brewer has paid more than $30,000 for a planning convention, materials and newspaper ads publicizing the event"

"But this march is no Cinco de Mayo parade. The politically charged event will promote a controversial plan to end deportations and offer legal status for all 11 million to 12 million undocumented immigrants.(Illegal Aliens) That creates potential pitfalls for any businesses lending support, experts say"

And I say, "pitfall Hell, let them find out they just drove their Beer Truck off a Cliff"!

Labor unions remain the movement's backbone with four major unions bringing at least 600 marchers on buses from throughout Chicago. Religious groups have been key too. Some marchers will bed down in churches and a mosque.

If you are in a Union, ask your Local Leadership what they think of this and if you don't get a good answer vote them out and tell their replacements to send the word upstream.
March organizers shot down a suggestion that they approach Coca-Cola, for example, because of what they perceive as the company's labor abuses in the developing world, a cause celebre among liberal activists.

Thank God. I never much liked Miller and I went on the wagon 17 years ago, haven't touched a drop since, but if COKE had done something this venal it would hurt, I LIKE coke. ;-)

Read the Rest don't WAIT for the movie.

This really cracked me up

Some People Would Do It For Free
You can always count on a Socialist to spend money on what some people would or should do for Free.

The latest example come's to us via Michelle Malkin at
Condi Derangement Syndrome

Salt Lake Trib reporter blogs:

At the noon hour, a group of dusty construction workers are buying lunch at the 7-Eleven on Third West.
"I wonder what happened at that Death to Israel rally," says one. "What was that all about?"

When the hardhats learn that the organizer of the Death to Israel rally is offering $10 an hour to the homeless to be "surrogate protesters," they shake their heads.

"Better than minimum wage to sell your soul," says one.

Makes one wonder. $10/hour for demonstrating? I wonder how much for voting? Is it by the hour as well, or just a set fee? Will there be premium pay for multiple votes,or a bonus if the right candidate wins?

In other news I great to inform my readers there ARE things the Left is willing to do without having to be paid for their efforts.

Again from Michelle Malkin at Guardsman beaten, taunted as "baby killer" An awful story out of the peaceful Pacific Northwest tonight:

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is searching for five people who allegedly attacked a uniformed National Guardsmen walking along 138th Street in Parkland Tuesday afternoon.
The soldier was walking to a convenience store when a sport utility vehicle pulled up alongside him and the driver asked if he was in the military and if he had been in any action.

The driver then got out of the vehicle, displayed a gun and shouted insults at the victim. Four other suspects exited the vehicle and knocked the soldier down, punching and kicking him.

“And during the assault the suspects called him a baby killer. At that point they got into the car and drove off and left him on the side of the road,” Detective Ed Troyer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Michelle has a few other incidents on her website, and I myself have an old post which relates how a crowd turned on an invalided vet during a 4th of July march with crys of Baby Killer and also how the mother of the 1000th soldier to die was treated by a group of Peace (?) activists in
Recall what happened to the Mother of the 1000th soldier to die?

As the 5th Anniversary of this centuries version of Pearl Harbor, the World Trade Tower approaches, lets spend some time thinking about those who stand between us and danger, try to make a difference from those who can't be bothered. Or in the words of Natalie Maines "don't see why people care about patriotism."

What Time Of Year Is It The Warmest?
Topic: Global Warming
I want you to take a GOOD look at the following graph.

Now Children that little graph is "Earth Ice over the last 750,000 years."

See where we are now? In an INTER-glacial cycle, close to the end of an average interglacial cycle to be exact.

Approximately every 100,000 years Earth's climate warms up temporarily. These warm periods, called interglacial periods, appear to last approximately 15,000 to 20,000 years before regressing back to a cold ice age climate. At year 18,000 and counting our current interglacial vacation from the Ice Age is much nearer it's end than it's beginning.

Take a GOOD look at that graph. It shows Climatic CYCLES. That is how Nature works, not Linear but in Cycles. This a phenomenon that is found time and time again in Nature, not just in Weather or Climate.

There has been much comment in the News about Global Warming. Oddly enough it is by the same groups that were commenting a generation ago about Global Cooling.

What we are witnessing is BAD Science, Political Science, Junk Science, Propaganda if you will to develop hysteria and establish political and economic control of the general population.

Science deals with DATA, not just Computer Models that can be tweaked with different assumptions to derive desired results.

It is getting Warmer? Yes and it has done so before.

Example of regional variations in surface air temperature for the last 1000 years, estimated from a variety of sources, including temperature-sensitive tree growth indices and written records of various kinds, largely from western Europe and eastern North America. Shown are changes in regional temperature in ? C, from the baseline value for 1900. Compiled by R. S. Bradley and J. A. Eddy based on J. T. Houghton et al., Climate Change: The IPCC Assessment, Cambridge UniversityPress, Cambridge, 1990 and published in EarthQuest, vol 5, no 1, 1991. Courtesy of Thomas Crowley, Remembrance of Things Past: Greenhouse Lessons from the Geologic Record

Earth's climate was in a cool period from A.D. 1400 to about A.D. 1860, dubbed the "Little Ice Age." This period was characterized by harsh winters, shorter growing seasons, and a drier climate. The decline in global temperatures was a modest 1/2? C, but the effects of this global cooling cycle were more pronounced in the higher latitudes. The Little Ice Age has been blamed for a host of human suffering including crop failures like the "Irish Potato Famine" and the demise of the medieval Viking colonies in Greenland.

Today we enjoy global temperatures which have warmed back to levels of the so called "Medieval Warm Period," which existed from approximately A.D. 1000 to A.D. 1350

So yes we HAVE seen global warming trends before and I note that the last one PREDATES the Industrial Age and the use of Fossil Fuels.

That was not the only time either. The following graph is the last 18,000 years of THIS Interglacial Cycle.

The idea that man-made pollution is responsible for global warming is not supported by historical fact. The period known as the Holocene Maximum is a good example-- so-named because it was the hottest period in human history. The interesting thing is this period occurred approximately 7500 to 4000 years B.P. (before present)-- long before human's invented industrial pollution.

CO2 in our atmosphere has been increasing steadily for the last 18,000 years-- long before humans invented smokestacks ( Figure 1). Unless you count campfires and intestinal gas, man played no role in the pre-industrial increases.

As illustrated in this chart of Ice Core data from the Soviet Station Vostok in Antarctica, CO2 concentrations in earth's atmosphere move with temperature. Both temperatures and CO2 have been steadily increasing for 18,000 years. Ignoring these 18,000 years of data "global warming activists" contend recent increases in atmospheric CO2 are unnatural and are the result of only 200 years or so of human pollution causing a runaway greenhouse effect.

Incidentally, earth's temperature and CO2 levels today have reached levels similar to a previous interglacial cycle of 120,000 - 140,000 years ago. From beginning to end this cycle lasted about 20,000 years. This is known as the Eemian Interglacial Period and the earth returned to a full-fledged ice age immediately afterward

Now maybe all this talk of Ice Volume, Interglacial Cycles is confusing. But there ARE weather cycles we are all familiar with the Seasons, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. We have seen the Seasons come and go. We are all familiar with that Natural Cycle.

Let us do a small thought experiment.

Suppose there were a world exactly like ours, with a Race much like ours but their Life Cycles were 100,00
times more rapid, there days and night came 100,000 times more rapidly BUT their year was the same length as ours and their Seasons progressed the same.

100,000 years to 1 year, 4000 generations, each month would be about 9,000 of their years less than 400 generations. Each month would be about the same length of time as our Historical Era.

The Scientists of this Civilization have for sometime noticed an alarming trend, Their World is getting WARMER. Left unchecked Life on their planet will become extinct.

They determine the cause is the release of Carbon Dioxide into their atmosphere by the use of Fossil Fuels.

The only solution is to De-Industrialize their Civilization. That will require a reduction of their population by about 90%, because a Pre-Industrial Society can only support that number.

They will instituted Draconian Population Controls, tests will be run and only the top 10% will be allowed to reproduce, the remainder of their population will be sterilized.

The Cost will be worth it, their Race, indeed ALL of Life on their Planet will be spare the impending inevitable Doom.

Of course from our viewpoint they are WRONG. The warming trend will NOT increase Linearly, In fact in a few of their Centuries it will become COLDER.

It may become so Cold that their new Civilization will not survive, and their Society will collapse into small bands of Hunter Gatherers.

That is because they were only looking at a small part of a Natural Cycle and assumed incorrectly that trend would continue in the same direction.

Sounds preposterous? Well Big Lizards in Ya Fallow? informs us that:

Extree, extree, read all about it! Now "global warming" makes glaciers grow bigger...!

Global warming could be causing some glaciers to grow, a new study claims.

Researchers at Newcastle University looked at temperature trends in the western Himalaya over the past century.

They found warmer winters and cooler summers, combined with more snow and rainfall, could be causing some mountain glaciers to increase in size.

Buster Block at InMuscatine in Scientist Predicts Global Cooling tells us

United Press International - NewsTrack - Russian scientist predicts global cooling:

A Russian scientist predicts a period of global cooling in coming decades, followed by a warmer interval.

Khabibullo Abdusamatov expects a repeat of the period known as the Little Ice Age. During the 16th century, the Baltic Sea froze so hard that hotels were built on the ice for people crossing the sea in coaches.

The Little Ice Age is believed to have contributed to the end of the Norse colony in Greenland, which was founded during an interval of much warmer weather

So the next time you read or hear hysterical pronunciations that Global Warming, excuse me Climate Change, is facing us with impending Doom, ask yourself, "What time of the Year is it the warmest?"

Hint it is now August and in the Northern Hemisphere this means September, October, November and December will be what?

So hot that Life as we know it will be threatened?

"Der er et yndigt land" (There Is A Lovely Land)

Words by: Adam Gottlob Oehlenschlager
Music by: Hans Ernst Kr?yer
Adopted: 1844

"Derer et yndigt land" was first performed for a large gathering of Danes in 1844, and became popular quickly with the Danish people. It was adopted later that year by the Danish government as a national anthem, but not the sole national anthem. This anthem is on equal status with "Kong Christian",which is both the national and royal anthem.

When the Danish anthem is usually performed or sung, the first verse is played in its entirety, then it is followed by the last four lines of the last verse. (This is true whether the lyrics are sung or not

We Paid For This Bilge?

Since my last post was on the Music Industry, I thought I should delve a little deeper.

This just in from the Associated Press.

Study: Sexy music triggers teen sex

Monday, August 7, 2006; Posted: 11:40 a.m. EDT (15:40 GMT)

CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) -- Teens whose iPods are full of music with raunchy, sexual lyrics start having sex sooner than those who prefer other songs, a study found.

Whether it's hip-hop, rap, pop or rock, much of popular music aimed at teens contains sexual overtones. Its influence on their behavior appears to depend on how the sex is portrayed, researchers found.

Songs depicting men as "sex-driven studs," women as sex objects and with explicit references to sex acts are more likely to trigger early sexual behavior than those where sexual references are more veiled and relationships appear more committed, the study found.

There you have it folks the secret is revealed, kids who tend to be on the wild side and promiscuous, like to listen to raunchy music.

Does this sound like the concern about 50 years ago, that the African Jungle Beat of Rock, might cause widespread promiscuity and orgies?

And of course they conclusion has to be that the music is the Cause rather than an Effect.

Could it just be that the same character traits that lead to promiscuity and wild behavior ALSO lead to interest in raunchy music, rather than the opposite?

NAW it could not be that simple, then there would be not crusade for control of the Music Industry. Instead we would have to tell parents to start action like parents and not expect the State to jump in and fix things.

What Galls me the most is the we paid for this study!

It wouldn't be too bad if the result was a waste of taxpayer's money, but it will be yet another attack on the First Amendment and Calls for Censorship.

I can just hear McCain paraphrasing one of his earlier statements.

But I would rather have a clean
(Music)
government than one where quote First Amendment rights are being respected

Shut Up and Sing
Dixie Chicks documentary to clash with elections
New Dixie Chicks documentary Shut Up and Sing is set to send shockwaves through the American political arena as its planned release date is just before the November US elections.

The highly-charged film refers to the widespread backlash of fans of US President George W Bush against singer Natalie Maines, after her 2003 statement that the band were "ashamed the president of the United States is from Texas".

I can think of few things, which could be guaranteed to galvanize Red State voters as much as this.

You'd think the Chicks might READ the Title of the Film and ponder on it.

But maybe Voters will have more important things on their minds.

News Busters asks an important question.

More Important 2006 Election Issue: Dixie Chicks Failed Tour or Illegal Immigration?

Posted by Jason Smith on August 22, 2006 - 15:26.
When Harvey Weinstein's company decides to fund a conservative documentary about illegal immigration, the media is eerily silent.

But let Harvey Weinstein's company decide to fund a documentary about the Dixie Chicks and you'll see headlines like, "Dixie Chicks documentary could be election issue".
I'd love to see the statistics on how many Americans have replaced illegal immigration with the Dixie Chicks failed tour on their list of important election issues...

Failed Tour is not much of an exageration. Times have changed for the Chicks.

Dixie Chicks not ready to fill an arena
BY ROSS RAIHALA
Pop Music Critic
When the Dixie Chicks emerged this spring, three years after lead singer Natalie Maines' jabs at President Bush ignited a nationwide controversy, the title of the trio's comeback single said it all: "Not Ready to Make Nice." And in a subsequent series of high-profile interviews, the Chicks defiantly declared they were ready to ditch mainstream country music.

The problem, however, is that in mounting the "Accidents and Accusations" tour, they continued to act like, well, a mainstream country act, planning a full-scale arena romp with the assumption they could instantly replace all those former followers.

Soft ticket sales and more than a dozen canceled shows later, the Chicks pulled into the Twin Cities ? one of their strongest markets ? for a Friday night gig at the Target Center in front of about 11,300 fans. For those keeping score, that's about a quarter the number that caught the group's pair of sold-out shows at the X in 2003.

One nice thing about the Dixie Chicks, we can discuss them and not have to worry about being accused of impugning their patriotism.

Natalie Maines for one states she has none.

"The entire country may disagree with me,but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism," Maines resumes, through gritted teeth. "Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country?]
I don't see why people care about patriotism."

Recentlty I have been posting music to Illustrate the Diversity of America, this week I have a different motive to express Solidarity with DENMARK

I maintain my Support of Denmark, and will later today, post links to and my thoughts about a Danish Editorial "We are being pissed upon by Per Nyholm "

I think I shall title my Post, "There is no "But" in "Freedom of Speech".

When I first started upon my journey through the blogverse I created a
Statement of Purpose
Now upon reading it, one can realize that I did not hold to every detail of that original statement, but from it's basic premise, I have never swayed, in my belief that the Blogs are in fact the Committees of Correspondence of the Second American Revolution.

And that it is a Revolution of Information, no longer can we afford and allow elite gateways to control what we can see, hear and discuss.

For I believe that those bloggers who find their way, here and in particular from the Blogs associated with Sam.

HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY.

Some of us are more Serious, some of us are more lighthearted and some post the common ordinary things that make one smile and recall that Life without the simple things to treasure is meaningless.

And it is important that all have a platform from which to speak.

As I understand this process you can link to this post and trackback to this post on ANY subject or post you think important. It is open. I will repeat this every Monday.

The Committees of Correspondence welcomes your intelligent comments. And also welcomes you to join the

MANIFESTO: Together facing the new totalitarianism
Created by Mark Jefferson on March 1st, 2006 at 5:42 pm AST

After having overcome fascism, Nazism, and Stalinism, the world now faces a new totalitarian global threat: Islamism.
We, writers, journalists, intellectuals, call for resistance to religious totalitarianism and for the promotion of freedom, equal opportunity and secular values for all. "
