Economy
the financial state and handling of goods

The economy in the Middle Ages was based on feudalism, essentially the same concept as Manorialism. A lord's profits depended on the land on which his peasants worked. During the High Middle Ages, a small global warming made a significant difference in the ease in which the land could be farmed, and as a result, production, the economy, and population increased. Production of new iron tools rose and one's wealth could depend on the amount of iron he owned.
