This site was created so that I may help to educate myself and others about a very important part of the culture of the Middle Ages. The food and drink of a civilization is both interesting and revealing. One may learn about economy, technology, agriculture, social classes, and laws by studying the eating habits of a people. I hope that the information I provide on this website will uncover one of the more intriguing (and disgusting at times) aspects of the Middle Ages.
