ResamplingThe "Resample" tool is useful when resizing images in FrontPage. This tool, found on the pictures toolbar, takes a picture that has been resized within FrontPage, and reduces its file size accordingly. To resample an image, you must first insert an picture into your page Resampling is useful only if the picture is resized. To resize an image Click on the image. Black boxes should appear around the edges of the image. These are resizing handles. They allow you to change the size of your image. Drag the mouse pointer over one of the resizing handles. The cursor should change into a two-headed arrow. Click and drag. The picture will resize as you pull it's edges and corners. Tip: Dragging the corner of an picture retains the image's shape. Dragging an edge will distort the image. To Resample an ImageSelect the picture you want to resample by clicking on it. On the pictures toolbar, click the "resample" button. The Pictures ToolbarThat's all! The picture will resample immediately. You can check to make sure it resample by hitting the "resample" button again. If it worked, FrontPage will prompt you to make the picture bigger or smaller before resampling. Resampling is necessary if you resize images in FrontPage while constructing your web page. Though FrontPage does not require you to resample images, performing this quick step will reduce files to manageable sizes, increasing load times and making your web page easier to view. |
