Inserting Graphics

If you insert pictures into a FrontPage document, FrontPage will ask you to go through additional steps when saving your documents.
These steps are simple, but they can be confusing if you aren't expecting them.

To save a document with Images:

On the menu, choose "File, Save As." This will open the "Save Dialogue Box."

The Save Dialogue Box

Give your file a name and a location, and press "Save."

FrontPage will automatically open a new dialogue box, prompting you to save your picture files.
This is because FrontPage needs to store your images somewhere on the web creation server to access them.
Keeping pictures saved only locally on your own computer's hard drive will not suffice.

The Save Embedded Files Window

Make sure that you are saving your images in the proper folder.
Typically, you will want to save in the " Images " folder. You will very rarely want to save elsewhere.

To change the save folder, press "Change Folder." This opens a new window where you can choose a new folder.
When you're finished, press "OK.

Press "OK" in the "Save Embedded Files" window. Your project will save, and so will the images in it.
