"Nothing to do..."

22nd August 2006, 1030 P.M.

Im so bored in my unit now. There is practically little to do since the next mono batch of recruits will only come in after December. ZzZ. And now, Im on leave, from tomorrow till next monday night. I want to learn driving but I havent saved up enough money. I don't want my dad to pay for my fees ya know? Afterall, its time I start to take up responsibility in paying for my own expenses. Im earning my own money now ma... =p Call it pride or whatever... I just feel weird taking money from my dad to pay for my bills when I have money. Not quite right. Haha.

Im bringing my grandma to Tan Tock Seng hospital tomorrow though. Finally, Im able to spend more time with her. My dad just told me that the doctor said that her lung cancer can't be cured fully. We could only stop it from spreading. I remembered I almost teared but I tried to think of the happy memories I spent with her so that I could stay cheerful. She doesnt know about this. We do not want to kill the hope in her. She wouldnt eat anymore if we told her. I dont want that to happen. She's my beloved grandma. I love her as much as I loved my grandpa. After, grandpa passed away 2 years ago, I do not want to repeat the same mistake of not spending as much time with my grandpa as possible. Especially, when Im in the army now, I dont get a chance to talk to her that often. So on Sundays, I try to stay at home as far as possible.

However, I still think a miracle is possible. As much as the world seems dark now, eventually, we should be able to see the light. No matter how dark the world may be, the light will emerge somehow. It's only time right? Funny. I forgot who told me that. Cant remember...

"A new journey..."

18th August 2006, 0620 P.M.

I am back. Back from the treacherous terrain in Taiwan. Back from all the climbing I did back in Taiwan. Back to claim my final trophy. My badge of responsibility. Today, i finally earned my rank. After graduating from SISPEC, I will go on a new journey in 3 Singapore Infantry Regiment. I dont know how its like but I am excited. Hehe. =) After so many busy weeks of training, I finally get a chance to sit on this computer chair and blog again. Wahaha. I conquered so many knolls in Taiwan.

However, my leg is starting to have some problems. Especially my knee. Gosh. It gets really painful everytime I try to bend my knee. Its the joint i think. Bah. Nevermind the leg. I should be fine. =)

There was so much stuff to do in Taiwan. I went to Rao He Night market and wu fen pu. Next, it was ximen ding. I bought so many clothes. I spent over S$300 dollars. Alot hor? Aiyo. I couldnt resist the fashion stuff over there ma. Haha. The night market was fantastic. You could eat alot of stuff over there. There was this fried chcken meat balls which tasted so good that you could fly when you first tasted it. Hmmm. Imagine yourself like the people in anime where the scenery would change and he would like say..." Oh My God. Oh my. This tasted so Good!!! Yummy!' That kinda stuff. That's the closest i can get. Haha.

Let me tell you what I bought:

1. Long pants - Really Cool!!! Its got that kinda faded and old look. Looks really stylish with abit of Retro. Managed to bargain my way through. Good thing is Taiwan shops allows you to bargain... =)

2. Two T-shirts - One has a very cute ninja boy and the other one has 2 pigs. One small and one big. Let me show you the picture. It looks something like what I drawn below:

Not exacly the same but its the closest. Hehe. This was for my cousin and her boyfriend.

3. A black cloth bag - It looks really.... Hmm. haha. I dont know how to describe. But... The texture is really nice. haha. Its big too. I think its very useful for a guy like me, Haha. I can put alot of stuff in. Wahaha.

4. Small wine bottles - Well.. This is a triangular wine bottle with a cute character on the bottle. Its the size of a palm. Haha. Its plum wine containing 40% of alcohol. Dont know if it tastes nice but who cares??? Haha. I like the design.

5. Wooden house - Its a kinda souvenir which you can put coins in this box and save up money and coins. Haha. My friend said it looked really cool. If i get a chance. I will take a photograph of my friends one and show. I bought it for him ma. =) Not nice to ask back right??? Haha.

Okay. I guess I will stop here for now... I got a lot of things to do later. I need to visit a friend who is sick. Haha. Yup yup. Cya guys around. =)
