KALLONIS ON THE ISLAND OF LESBOS Kallonis is a rather large village on the northside of the Gulf of Kallonis. The Area is a little more barren than its surroundings. Kallonis is the perfect place to get stuck with your car or to get confused and lose your way. There are many cars en and not enough good roadsigns pointing into the proper direction. If you want to go from Kallonis to Molyvos and you follow the sign you end up on a sandpath going to nowhere. Instead you take the road to Eressos which leads to the northcoast to Patra and then to Molyvos. If on the other hand you want to go to Skala Eressos, you don't follow the sign to Skala Eressos but the one to Parakila. Confused?? We weere, time after time... |
