The village of Gavathas on the island of Lesbos in Greece

In the extreme northwest of the island of Lesbos at the seashore lies the village of Gavathas. I read somewhere that the village slowly tries to attract the tourists, but I have not noticed anything of the kind. The village was totally deserted. Many houses in Gavathas have collapsed roofs and are about to fall apart (all of this in 2006). Maybe this will all change in the future. Like I already said the village was very quiet. There are many flowers in the area (may) and the fishing nets are laying desolate on the harbour next to the boats. On top of the mountain there is an old tank.
