Getting Help

The NFB of Greater Summit County often advocates for blind Ohioans in & around the Greater Akron area who are not receiving the services to which they are entitled or who have faced discrimination.

Blind Ohioans, as well as those currently losing their vision, can receive information about social security benefits, supplemental security income, rehabilitation, transportation and library services. If you, or someone you know, is experiencing vision loss & are not being treated fairly, contact us to see how we can help.

Please call (330) 865-8471 or you can e-mail us if you prefer.   If you are located outside the Akron Ohio area, and have questions you need answers to, you can call the NFB national office, in Baltimore, MD, at (410) 659-9314. If they do not give you the answers directly, they can direct you to your local chapters of the NFB, as well as your state affiliate.
