Let's Go Mets! SEPTEMBER 19 - HOME GAME #74 vs New York Yankees (81-65)

Noah Syndergaard (8-6) faces Michael Pineda (10-8) in the Subway Series

84-64 +7

Lets Go Mets! Noah Syndergaard at one point retired 16 of 17 batters but a 3 run homer from former Met Carlos Beltran in the 1st, followed by a 2 run homer by Brian McCann in the 6th gave the Yankees all they would need to win this game. Yoenis Cespedes went 0 for 4 and is now in an 0 for 17 slump since being plunked on the hip against the Marlins last Tuesday.

Ticket Cost: $208

Game #74 view

Steve and I sat in the Hyundai Club today. Ham, chicken breast, pasta, fix-it-yourself taco bar and all the usual ballpark favorites. With hardly any sleep since last night's game, I was tired. After eating and a few drinks at the bar, we went to our seats and I could barely keep my eyes open. I kept head bobbing, waking myself up to the also sleeping Mets, who were sleepwalking through the game and being shut out. Nearly out of it for most of the game, I didn't miss much Mets wise but Steve was glad to see the Bronx Bombers win.

Inside the Hyundai Club

Steve and I have been talking about how fast this season seems to have gone by. I don't feel it has been fast but I can't believe it is winding down already. If it wasn't for the fact that I most likely will experience my first MLB playoff game, I would be sad about only having a few games left on the schedule. The sadness of the season ending and the excitement of the postseason are cancelling each other out. But I am really missing home, which I knew my visit home for a week would do to me. I never want this baseball experience to end but I can't wait for it to be over and I can go home and reflect what I really accomplished this year.
