Jomaru Brown.  Belmont coach Casey Alexander countered with 6-7 Gr.  Tyler Scanlon, 6-4Sr. Michael Benkert, 6-11 So. Nick Muszynski, 6-2 So. Grayson Murphy, and 6-3 So. Adam Kunkel.

 

Belmont raced out to a 30-21 halftime lead on their way to a 60-50 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  Belmont shot 33.8% from the field including seven of 30 from the three point line.  They connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 49 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 29.9% from the field including five of 22 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on five of 12 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored 16 points off 12 Belmont turnovers.

 

Adam Kunkel led Belmont with 15 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Grayson Murphy added 10 points, eight rebounds, and two assists.  Nick Muszynski recorded eight points, eight rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  6-11 Sr. Seth Adelsperger chipped in with six points, six rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank led Eastern Kentucky with 15 points including four three point baskets and two steals.  Jomaru Brown added 12 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  Tre King recorded six points and seven rebounds.  6-9 Sr. Lachlan Anderson chipped in with five points and nine rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky University outscored Tennessee State University 32-20 in the second half to earn a 58-48 victory.  There were five ties and nine lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 30.4% from the field including seven of 23 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 17 of 24 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 26 Tennessee State turnovers.  Tennessee State shot 37.5% from the field including three of 18 from beyond the arc.  They connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 44 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Jomaru Brown led Eastern Kentucky with 12 points including two three point baskets, four of four free throws, and four rebounds.  Ty Taylor added 11 points including two three point baskets and three steals.  Michael Moreno recorded 10 points including two three point baskets and eight rebounds.  Tre King chipped in with nine points, seven rebounds, and four steals.

 

Carlos Marshall Jr. led Tennessee State with 11 points and six rebounds.  6-7 Sr. Emmanuel Egbuta added nine points and eight rebounds.  Wesley Harris recorded seven points, seven rebounds, and two assists.  Michael Littlejohn chipped in with seven points and two assists.  Shakem Johnson added six points and 10 rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky survived a late rally to defeat Morehead State by the score of 80-76.  The score was tied three times and there were six lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky shot 44.3% from the field including seven of 21 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 19 of 22 free throws, pulled down 29 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 17 Morehead State turnovers.  Morehead State shot 49.1% from the field including six of 19 from beyond the arc.  The Golden Eagles connected on 14 of 18 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 15 points off 10 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 Fr. Michael Moreno, 6-3 Sr. Ty Taylor, 6-8 So. Tre King, 6-0 Jr. Russhard Cruickshank, and 6-2 So. Jomaru Brown., Eastern Illinois University coach Jay Spoonhour countered with 6-5 Sr.JaQualis Matlock, 6-4 Jr. Josiah Wallace, 6-5 Jr. George Dixon, 5-10 Sr. Shareef Smith, and 6-2 Jr. Mack Smith.

 

Eastern Kentucky University captured a hard fought 91-84 victory over Eastern Illinois University.  The score was tied four times and there were seven lead changes in the game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 50% from the field including eight of 17 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 23 of 33 free throws, pulled down 36 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 16 Eastern Illinois University turnovers.  Eastern Illinois University shot 45.6% from the field including 10 of 28 from beyond the arc.  They connected on 12 of 16 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 14 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

 

Tre King led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points including seven of nine free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two blocked shots.  Michael Moreno added 17 points including four three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Ty Taylor recorded 14 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Jomaru Brown chipped in with 13 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Russhard Cruickshank added 10 points including two three point baskets.

 

Josiah Wallace led Eastern Illinois University with 25 points including three three point baskets, six of seven free throws, six rebounds, and three assists.  6-6 Jr. Marvin Johnson added 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two blocked shots.  6-1 Jr. Kashawn Charles recorded 12 points including three three point baskets.  6-6 Jr. Jordan Skipper-Brown chipped in with 12 points, three rebounds, and two assists.  George Dixon pulled own nine rebounds.
