Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.  Southeast Missouri coach Brad Korn countered with 6-6 Jr. Nana Akenten, 6-3 Jr. Chris Harris, 6-8 Sr. Manny Patterson, 6-1 So. DQ Nicholas, and 6-2 Jr. Eric Reed Jr.

 

Southeast Missouri shot a sizzling 62.1% from the field in the first half and raced out to a 50-24 first half lead on their way to a 94-72 victory over Eastern Kentucky University.  SEMO shot 58.3% from the field including 14 of 25 from the three point line.  The Redhawks connected on 10 of 14 free throws, pulled down 47 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 13 EKU turnovers.  EKU shot 36.2% from the field including 11 of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on 11 of 17 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 19 points off 23 SEMO turnovers.

 

Chris Harris led SEMO with 18 points including four three point baskets and seven assists.  Eric Reed Jr. added 16 points including two three point baskets, six rebounds, and six assists.  Nana Akenten recorded 15 points on five three point baskets and six rebounds.  6-4 Jr. Nygal Russell chipped in with 13 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Russell was six of six from the field and one of one from the free throw line.  DQ Nicholas added eight points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  Manny Patterson recorded eight points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

Michael Moreno led Eastern Kentucky University with 19 points including five three point baskets, two rebounds, and three blocked shots.  Curt Lewis added 18 points including three three point baskets.  6-6 Fr. Devontae Blanton recorded 10 points, seven rebounds, and two steals.  6-0 Sr. Russhard Cruickshank chipped in with 10 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three assists.
