Wendell Green Jr. banked in a three point basket at the top of the circle the score 10 points in overtime to lead Eastern Kentucky University to an 86-82 victory over Jacksonville State University.  The score was tied four times and there were five lead changes in this game.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 42.7% from the field including 14 of 37 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on eight of 12 free throws, pulled down 37 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 14 Jacksonville State turnovers.  Jacksonville State shot 45.7% from the field including nine of 21 from beyond the arc..  The Gamecocks connected on nine of 14 free throws, pulled down 46 rebounds, and scored eight points off six Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

Wendell Green Jr. led Eastern Kentucky University with 22 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, eight assists, and two steals.  Cooper Robb added 20 points including four three point baskets, three rebounds, three assists, and three steals.  Michael Moreno recorded 15 points including four three point baskets, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.  6-10 So. Tariq Balogun chipped in with 11 points and six rebounds.

 

6-7 Sr. Kayne Henry led Jacksonville State with 22 points including three three point baskets and six rebounds.  Jalen Finch added 19 points including three three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Brandon Huffman recorded 12 points and six rebounds.  Darian Adams chipped in with 12 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, and three assists.  Jay Pal added five points, seven rebounds, and two assists.

Eastern Kentucky exploded tonight for 20 three point baskets in a 113-73 victory over UT Martin.  Eastern Kentucky University shot 60% from the field including 20 of 37 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on nine of 10 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 27 points off 22 UT Martin turnovers.  UT Martin shot 42.4% from the field including two of 14 from beyond the arc.  The Skyhawks connected on 21 of 26 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 12 Eastern Kentucky University turnovers.

 

Wendell Green Jr. led Eastern Kentucky University with 25 points including four three point baskets, two rebounds, four assists, and two steals.  Michael Moreno added 23 points including five three point baskets.  Moreno was nine of 10 from the field including five of six from beyond the arc.  6-6 Fr. Devontae Blanton recorded 19 points including three three point baskets and five rebounds.  Blanton was six of seven from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and four of four free throws.  Curt Lewis added 19 points including three three point baskets and four rebounds.  Lewis was seven of nine from the field including three of four from beyond the arc, and two of three from the free throw line.  Cooper Robb chipped in with eight points, five rebounds, and six assists.

 

Cameron Holden led UT Martin with 20 points including 12 of 16 free throws, 13 rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.  6-7 Fr. Anthony Thomas added 16 points including four of four free throws, and three rebounds.  Kenton Eskridge  recorded 10 points, two assists, and two steals.  6-4 Fr. 6-9 Jr. Tre King led Eastern Kentucky with 22 points, 12 rebounds, and two steals.  6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis added nine points, six rebounds, and four steals.  5-11 Fr. Campbellsville University Harrodsburg coach Austin Sparrow started the following lineup: 6-4 Jr. Chris Rawlings, 6-2 Jr. Kereion Douglas, 6-4 Sr. Devin Baker, 6-0 Jr. Tyron Duncan, and 6-1 Jr. Antoine Darby.  Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton countered with 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-4 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-0 Sr. Russhard Cruickshank.

 

Eastern Kentucky University outscored Campbellsville Harrodsburg 70-21 to earn a 118-54 victory in a game that ended with 1:27 left in the game with an injury.  Eastern Kentucky’s 5-11 So. Isaiah Minter went down hard and lay motionless for several minutes before being removed from the court on a stretcher.  Prayers for a speedy and complete recovery for this young man.  The first several minutes were competitive as they were four ties and 10 lead changes in the game before Eastern Kentucky pulled away for a 48-33 halftime lead.  Eastern Kentucky shot 58% from the field including 13 of 30 from the three point line.  The Colonels connected on 11 of 14 free throws, pulled down 52 rebounds, and scored 37 points off 25 Campbellsville University Harrodsburg turnovers.  The Colonels held a 78-13 advantage in bench scoring.  CUH shot 31.3% from the field including five of 24 from beyond the arc.  The Pioneers connected on nine of 19 free throws, pulled down 33 rebounds, and scored seven points off 14 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.

 

6-0 Jr. Brandon Knapper who transferred from West Virginia and was making his first appearance as a Colonel scored 25 ponts including five three point baskets and five rebounds.  Tre King added 24 points, 12 rebounds, three assists, two blocked shots, and two steals.  6-2 Sr. Jacquess Hobbs recorded 15 points including three three point baskets and five assists.  6-7 Jr. Cheikh Faye added 13 points including four three point baskets, nine rebounds, and three assists.  Curt Lewis chipped in with 10 points and five rebounds.  6-5 Jr. Peyton Broughton added 10 points and three steals.

 

Antoine Darby led Campbellsville University Harrodsburg with 17 points including two three point baskets, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Chris Rawlings added 11 points including two three point baskets and seven rebounds.  Kereion Douglas recorded six points and seven rebounds.

Eastern Kentucky University coach AW Hamilton started the following lineup: 6-7 So. Michael Moreno, 6-5 Fr. Curt Lewis, 6-9 Jr. Tre King, 5-11 Fr. Wendell Green Jr., and 6-1 Jr. Cooper Robb.  Morehead State University coach Preston Spradlin countered with 6-7 So. Julius Dixon, 6-4 Jr. Devon Cooper, 6-10 Fr. Johni Broome, 6-3 Jr. Skyelar Potter, and 6-4 So. Ta’Lon Cooper.

 

Morehead State pulled away in the second half to defeat Eastern Kentucky by the score of 75-62.  Eastern Kentucky was plagued tonight by foul woes as they were whistled for 27 fouls with Tre King fouling out and fellow starters Lewis, Robb, Green, and Moreno finishing the game with four fouls each.  Morehead State shot 51.1% from the field including four of 15 from the three point line.  The Eagles connected on 25 of 32 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 13 Eastern Kentucky turnovers.  Eastern Kentucky shot 39.1% from the field including four of 25 from beyond the arc.  The Colonels connected on eight of 13 free throws, pulled down 27 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 20 Morehead State turnovers.

 

5-11 Jr. KJ Hunt led Morehead State with 17 points including seven of nine free throws and three assists.  Skyelar Potter added 13 points including five of five free throws and eight rebounds.  6-6 Sr. James Baker recorded 12 points including six of eight free throws and six rebounds.  Julius Dixon chipped in with 11 points.  Devon Cooper added eight points and seven rebounds.  Johni Broome recorded six points, 10 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

 

Tre King led Eastern Kentucky with 17 points including two three point baskets, three rebounds, and three steals.  Wendell Green Jr. added 16 points and five assists.  Curt Lewis recorded 13 points and six rebounds.  Michael Moreno added seven points and six rebounds.
