Frederick Douglass coach Kurt Young started the following lineup: 6-2 Sr. Jacob Kenney, 6-2 So. Julius Scearce, 6-3 Jr. Nathan Mack, 5-10 Sr. Rasaan Thompson, and 6-1 So. DeShawn Jackson.  Henry Clay coach Daniel Brown countered with Jr. Jackson Phillips, 6-2 Jr. Marques Warrick, 6-4 Sr. Harris Hawkins, 5-9 Sr. Ramond Jackson, and 6-1 Sr. Keaston Brown.

 

Henry Clay pulled away late to defeat Frederick Douglass by a score of 77-59.  Henry Clay shot 43.8% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Blue Devils connected on 28 of 39 free throws, pulled down 43 rebounds, and scored 20 points off 15 Frederick Douglass turnovers.  Frederick Douglass shot 28.8% from the field including four of 28 from beyond the arc.  The Broncos connected on 17 of 25 free throws, pulled down 41 rebounds, and scored 18 points off 18 Henry Clay turnovers.

 

Marques Warrick led Henry Clay with 27 points including four three point baskets, nine of 12 free throws, four rebounds, and three assists.  Harris Hawkins added 18 points and nine rebounds.  Keaston Brown recorded 10 points, five rebounds, and three assists.  Jackson Phillips chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.  Marquis Mackey added six points and eight rebounds.

 

5-10 Sr. Montaveon Bean led Frederick Douglass with 15 points including two three point baskets.  Jacob Kenney added 12 points and seven rebounds.  5-8 Jr. Jaylin Bybee recorded 11 points and DeShawn Jackson chipped in with seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
