Henry Clay coach Eric Sanford started the following lineup: 5-9 Sr. Jordyn Jackson, 5-7 Fr. Kiya Thompson, 5-10 Sr. Nakeisha Green, 5-4 So. Alexis Lutz, and 5-6 Sr. T’Laya Lyvers.  Simon Kenton coach Jeff Stowers countered with 6-0 So. Megan Buckner, 5-9 So. Shelby Harmeyer, 6-1 Jr. Madi Meier, 5-4 Jr. Kendyl Gilliam, and 5-8 So. Allyson Niece.

Simon Kenton pulled away in the final quarter to defeat Henry Clay by a score of 63-55.  There were eight lead changes and 10 ties in the game.  Simon Kenton shot 31.8% from the field including two of 10 from the three point line.  The Lady Pioneers connected on 33 of 42 free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 14 Henry Clay turnovers.  Henry Clay shot 34.5% from the field including one of six from beyond the arc.  The Lady Blue Devils connected on 14 of 20 free throws, pulled down 35 rebounds, and scored 17 points off 18 Simon Kenton turnovers.

Madi Meier led Simon Kenton with 26 points, nine rebounds, and four blocked shots.  Meier was eight of 10 from the field and 10 of 13 from the free throw line. Allyson Niece added 19 points including 13 of 15 free throws and seven rebounds.  Shelby Harmeyer chipped in with eight points, four rebounds, and three assists.

T’Laya Lyvers led Henry Clay with 25 points, 10 rebounds, and eight steals.  5-9 So. Oriona Woods added 10 points.  Kiya Thompson chipped in with eight points.
