Menifee County coach Paul Ricker started the following lineup: 5-9 So. Mara Walker, 5-10 Sr. Ashton Woodard, 5-10 Jr. Marriah Back, 5-4 Jr. Drew Evans, and 5-5 Sr. Elizabeth Dotson. Lafayette coach Allison Denton countered with 5-9 So. Tekiya Garr-Carter, 5-9 So. Caroline Bennett, 5-10 Jr. Kiara Pankins, 5-3 So. Terri Abram, and 5-7 Fr. Lindi DeBilzan.
Lafayette pulled away in the second half to defeat Menifee County by a score of 74-57. The score was tied six times and there were six lead changes. Lafayette shot 55.8% from the field including two of six from the three point line. The Lady Generals connected on 14 of 26 free throws, pulled down 40 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 21 Menifee County turnovers. Menifee County shot 37.5% from the field including eight of 21 from beyond the arc. The Lady Cats connected on seven of 15 free throws, pulled down 32 rebounds, and scored 10 points off 19 Lafayette turnovers.
Kiara Pankins led Lafayette with 23 points, 15 rebounds, two blocked shots, and four steals. 5-8 8th Grade Shelbi Wilson added 18 points. Terri Abram chipped in with 10 points.
Ashton Woodard led Menifee County with 22 points, 10 rebounds, five assists, and two blocked shots. Mara Walker added 13 points including three three point baskets. Elizabeth Dotson recorded 11 points including three three point baskets and five assists.
