Lexington Christian Academy coach Nate Valentine starts the following lineup:  6-4 So. Austin Hall, 6-5 Fr. Kyle Rode, 6-6 Jr. Trey King, 6-1 Fr. Isaiah Hunt, and 6-2 Sr. Trevor Hill.  Danville coach Ed McKinney countered with 6-2 Sr. Spencer McKinney, 6-0 Sr. Darious Wilson, 6-2 Sr. John Roney, 5-9 Sr. Jakobi Turner, and 5-11 Sr. Matthew Turner.

 

The score was tied 47-47 after three quarters but Danville pulled away in the final quarter to earn a 69-60 victory.  Danville shot 43.8% from the field including seven of 20 from the three point line.  The Admirals connected on 20 of 35 free throws, pulled down 28 rebounds, and scored 21 points off 20 LCA turnovers.  LCA shot 44.4% from the field including six of 18 from beyond the arc.  The Eagles connected on 14 of 17 free throws, pulled down 30 rebounds, and scored 11 points off 10 Danville turnovers.

 

Spencer McKinney led Danville with 23 points including four three point baskets, 11 rebounds, and three steals.  Jakobi Turner added 14 points and four assists.  Matthew Turner recorded 12 points, six assists, and six steals.  Darious Wilson chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.

 

Kyle Rode led LCA with 28 points including nine of 10 free throws, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.  Trevor Hill added 10 points including two three point baskets.  Tre King recorded nine points.

Cooper coach Nicole Levandusky started the following lineup: 5-9 Jr. Hailey Anderson, 5-9 So. Lexi Held, 5-9 Jr. Hailey Nicholas, 5-7 So. Elena Rivera, and 5-8 So. Asyah Mitchell.  Scott County coach Steve Helton countered with 5-10 So. Peyton Riddle, 5-8 Sr. Alexis Lockard, 5-11 So. Sydney Southerland, 5-5 Fr. Juliette Smith, and 5-9 Sr. Bailey Hawkins.

 

Scott County defeated Cooper by a score of 70-61.  Scott County shot 41.2% from the field including eight of 20 from the three point line.  The Lady Cardinals connected on six of 12 free throws, pulled down 39 rebounds, and scored 28 points off 26 Cooper turnovers.  Cooper shot 39% from the field including three of eight from beyond the arc.  The Lady Jaguars connected on 26 of 33 free throws, pulled down 34 rebounds, and scored 13 points off 16 Scott County turnovers.

 

Bailey Hawkins led Scott County with 20 points including four three point baskets.  Peyton Riddle added 19 points, seven rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Juliette Smith recorded seven points, four rebounds, four assists, and five steals.  5-8 Jr. Kadee Hudson also scored seven points.

 

Lexi Held led Cooper with 20 points including 11 of 14 free throws, eight rebounds, and two blocked shots.  Hailey Nicholas added 11 points and six rebounds.  Asyah Mitchell recorded 11 points, six rebounds, and four steals.  5-7 Jr. Kendra Smith chipped in with eight points.

Karson Knight, and 5-7 Jr. Jada Stinson.

 

Elizabethtown defeated North Hardin by a score of 66-24.  Elizabethtown shot 42.6% from the field including three of 15 from the three point line.  The Lady Panthers connected on 17 of 21 free throws, pulled down 42 rebounds, and scored 12 points off 20 North Hardin turnovers.  North Hardin shot 20% from the field including two of 12 from beyond the arc.  They connected on two of three free throws, pulled down 31 rebounds, and scored four points off 13 Elizabethtown turnovers.

 

Elizabethtown was led by Elizabeth Boley with 21 points, 11 rebounds, two blocked shots, and three steals.  Jada Stinson added 20 points, six rebounds, and three steals.  Rachel Warden recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and five steals.

 

Dezare Macklin led North Hardin with seven points and six rebounds.  Tamariah Stanford added six points, eight rebounds, and two steals.  Sydney Coleman chipped in with five points.

Clay County, buoyed by 11 of 17 from the three point line defeated Oneida Baptist by a score of 73-59.  Clay County shot 56.5% from the field including 11 of 17 from the three point line.  The Lady Tigers connected on five of nine free throws, pulled down 25 rebounds, and committed 15 turnovers.  Oneida Baptist Institute shot 40.7% from the field including three of nine from beyond the arc.  The Lady Mountaineers connected on 12 of 24 free throws and pulled down 26 rebounds.

 

5-10 Sr. Kelli Roberts led Clay County with 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists.  5-9 8th Grade Kaylee Mathis added 16 points including three three point baskets and four assists.  5-9 Fr. Summer Parker recorded 13 points and nine rebounds.  5-5 Fr. Kimberlyn Mills and 5-5 Jr. Whitney Sizemore each scored nine points on three three point baskets.

 

5-5 Sr. Madison Kehler led Oneida Baptist with 20 points.  5-8 Sr. Ashley Booher added 19 points and 15 rebounds.  5-4 Jr. Marderie Flahn chipped in with 13 points.

South Warren defeated Johnson Central by a score of 36-6.  South Warren recorded 22 first downs and 362 yards of total offense.  The Spartans were penalized six times for 48 yards and had two passes intercepted.  Johnson Central recorded three first downs and 130 yards of total offense.  The Golden Eagles were penalized six times for 63 yards, lost two fumbles, and had two passes intercepted.

Kayron Namvong led South Warren’s ground game with 121 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.  Ryder Litten carried the ball 17 times for 50 yards.  Ryder Litten completed nine of 18 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  Bryan Cummings caught four passes for 78 yards.  CJ Hayes added two receptions for 23 yards.  Chase Japp caught a 24 yard touchdown pass.  Austin McElwain led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Devante Colton added five solo and two assisted tackles and scored on a 22 yard fumble recovery return.  Jacob Wilde recorded two solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a six yard fumble recovery return.  Bryan Cummings intercepted two passes.

Bryce Skaggs led Johnson Central’s ground game with 63 yards and a touchdown on six carries.  Gunner Slone carried the ball eight times for 27 yards.  Bryce Workman completed one of eight passes for 40 yards with two interceptions.  Geordon Blanton caught one pass for 40 yards.  Geordon  Blanton led the defense with 10 solo and five assisted tackles.  Nick Wilcox added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Aaron King recorded five solo and four assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Blake Gamble and Blake Martin each intercepted a pass.

Belfry shut down the high octane Lexington Catholic offense and dominated with their punishing ground game in a 43-0 victory.  Belfry recorded 20 first downs and 396 yards of total offense.  The Pirates were penalized five times for 35 yards.  Lexington Catholic recorded five first downs and 117 yards of total offense.  The Knights were penalized five times for 60 yards.

Andrew Fletcher led Belfry’s ground game with 125 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries.  Xondre Willis carried the ball 12 times for 89 yards and a touchdown.  Derek Wellman added 77 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries.  Noah Corbett carried the ball 10 times for 63 yards and a touchdown.  Noah Corbett was zero for one in the passing department.  Austin Hall led the defense with four solo and three assisted tackles.  Devin Varney added two solo and three assisted tackles.  Raquan Horton recorded two solo and one assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.

Jaylen Jones led Lexington Catholic’s ground game with 16 yards on seven carries.  Andy Thompson carried the ball five times for 15 yards.  Andy Thompson completed eight of 16 passes for 53 yards.  Legend Brumbaugh completed four of seven passes for 18 yards.  Donovan Morris caught three passes for seven yards.  JJ Ogbogu added two receptions for 30 yards.  Andy Thompson returned two kickoffs for 91 yards with a long return of 70 yards. Sid Sharp led the defense with 10 solo and two assisted tackles.  A. Lauterbach added seven solo and two assisted tackles.  Austin Pedroche recorded four solo and five assisted tackles.

Mayfield defeated Newport Central Catholic by a score of 17-7.  Mayfield recorded 16 first downs and 269 yards of total offense.  The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 60 yards and had a pass intercepted.  Newport Central Catholic recorded 14 first downs and 217 yards of total offense.  The Thoroughbreds were penalized five times for 40 yards and lost three fumbles.

Trajon Bright led Mayfield’s ground game with 42 yards on 23 carries.  Landon Arnett carried the ball four times for 22 yards.  Landon Arnett completed 17 of 35 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown with one interception.  Kevin Caldwell caught six passes for 81 yards and a touchdown.  Lane Kennemore added five receptions for 65 yards.  Michael Walker caught five passes for 48 yards.  Kincer Arnett led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling three yards.  Kyle Hurt added five solo and two assisted tackles with 3.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 10 yards.  Keelan Murphy recorded three solo and one assisted tackles and recovered three fumbles.  Murphy also recovered a fumble for a touchdown.

Jacob Smith added Newport Central Catholic’s ground game with 60 yards on 24 carries.  P. Henschen completed 10 of 18 passes for 136 yards and a touchdown.  Trent Wrobleski caught four passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.  Jacob Smith added two receptions for 31 yards.  Kobe Tallon led the defense with seven solo and five assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards.  Trent Wrobleski added five solo tackles.  Erik Anderson recorded four solo and one assisted tackles.

Male defeated Lafayette 41-14 to claim the Class 6A Championship and finish the season at a perfect 15-0.  Male recorded 20 first downs and 379 yards of total offense.  The Bulldogs were penalized seven times for 35 yards and had three passes intercepted.  Lafayette recorded 22 first downs and 382 yards of total offense.  The Generals were penalized five times for 56 yards, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Devin Gentry led Male’s ground game with 46 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.  Hayden Shelton completed 15 of 27 passes for 341 yards and four touchdowns with three interceptions.  Zackery Smith caught eight passes for 150 yards and a touchdown.  Keion Wakefield added four receptions for 78 yards and two touchdowns.  Marcus Clark caught two passes for 59 yards.  Ethan Britt added a 54 yard touchdown reception.  Zachary Hall led the defense with eight solo and five assisted tackles with 2.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 11 yards and intercepted a pass.  James Todd added five solo and five assisted tackles.  Tony Smyzer created havoc tonight as 2.5 of his tackles resulted in losses totaling 21 yards.  Demetrius Holt scored on an 81 yard interception return.

Walker Wood led Lafayette’s ground game with 136 yards and a touchdown on 33 carries.  Walker Wood completed 22 of 36 passes for 229 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions.  Mason Alstatt caught nine passes for 64 yards.  M. Guilfoil added five receptions for 52 yards.  Quinten Brown added four receptions for 73 yards and a touchdown.  Ean Shaw led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 30 yards.  Jordan Thomas added three solo and two assisted tackles and intercepted a pass.

Pulaski County scored early on a George Gregory 3 yard run and a conversion kick set up by a 54 yard kickoff return by Gregory to the Bowling Green 20 to start the game.  However, it was all Bowling Green after that as they scored 21 unanswered points to earn a 21-7 victory.  Bowling Green recorded 12 first downs and 349 yards of total offense.  The Purples were penalized 10 times for 87 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.  Pulaski County recorded 14 first downs and 222 yards of total offense.  The maroons were penalized three times for 27 yards and lost a fumble.

Jacob Yates led Bowling Green’s ground attack with 72 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries.  Jamale Carothers carried the ball 17 times for 61 yards.  Clark Payne completed 19 of 27 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown with one interception.  DeAngelo Wilson caught seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown.  Trey Fant returned a punt 77 yards for a touchdown.  Dalan Cofer led the defense with nine solo and three assisted tackles with three of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 23 yards.  Ahmerian Brown added five solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss and recovered a fumble.

George Gregory led Pulaski County’s ground game with 61 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.  Riley Hall completed 23 of 35 passes for 169 yards.  Jake Johnson caught 14 passes for 101 yards.  George Gregory added eight receptions for 56 yards.  George Gregory returned one kickoff for 54 yards.  Jake New led the defense with seven solo and six assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a seven yard loss.  C. Holman added eight solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss.  Mason Helton recorded five solo and four assisted tackles.  Jake Johnson intercepted one pass he returned for 62 yards.

The score was tied 21-21 after three quarters but Pikeville scored the first 21 points of the final quarter on their way to a 42-28 victory over Beechwood.  Pikeville recorded 19 first downs and 504 yards of total offense.  The Panthers were penalized six times for 45 yards and had one pass intercepted.  Beechwood recorded 22 first downs and 320 yards of total offense.  The Tigers were penalized once for five yards, lost a fumble, and had one pass intercepted.

Daric Pugh led Pikeville’s ground game with 239 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries.  Blake Charles carried the ball six times for 47 yards and a touchdown.  Wyatt Battaile completed eight of 13 passes for 177 yards and three touchdowns with one interception.  Cody Charles caught two passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.  Chatlin Jarrell caught two passes for 22 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Charles caught one pass for 67 yards and a touchdown.  Blake Charles led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles.  Cody Charles added nine solo tackles and intercepted a pass he returned 11 yards.  M. McDonald recorded seven solo and one assisted tackles.

Brett Slusher led Beechwood’s ground game with 78 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries.  Kyle Fieger added 47 yards on 10 carries.  Kyle Fieger completed 21 of 32 passes for 173 yards and two touchdowns with one interception.  Logan Castleman caught seven passes for 49 yards.  Brett Slusher added five receptions for 38 yards and a touchdown.  Aiden Justice caught four passes for 27 yards and a touchdown.  Brett Slusher returned four kickoffs for 110 yards.  Henry Erdman led the defense with six solo and two assisted tackles.  Joe Sherron added five solo and three assisted tackles.  J. Overstreet recorded five solo and one assisted tackles.
