Lexington Catholic coach Chelsea Chowning started the following lineup: 6-0 Sr. Alex Botkin, 6-0 Sr. Emily Johns, 6-0 Sr. Elizabeth Walton, 5-8 Sr. Bonnie Rhule, and 5-9 Jr. Octavia Wilson.  Assumption coach Steve Small countered with 5-11 Sr. Morgan Foley, 5-8 Jr. Katie Friedrich, 5-11 Jr. Kelsey Kaiser, 5-6 Sr. Becca Durbin, and 5-4 Jr. Brandy Hunter.

Assumption led 44-38 after three quarters but Lexington Catholic rallied to earn a 57-53 victory.  Lexington Catholic shot 39.3% from the field including six of 24 from the three point line.  The Lady Knights connected on seven of 14 free throws, pulled down 26 rebounds, and scored 22 points off 26 Assumption turnovers.  Assumption shot 42.6% from the field including eight of 20 from beyond the arc.  The Rockets connected on five of six free throws, pulled down 38 rebounds, and scored 13 points off nine Lexington Catholic turnovers.

Alex Botkin led Lexington with 24 points and seven rebounds.  Octavia Wilson added 17 points including three three point baskets, eight assists, and eight steals.

Katie Friedrich led Assumption with 11 points, 14 rebounds, and four assists.  Becca Durbin added 11 points including three three point baskets.  6-6 Fr. Nora Kiesler chipped in with nine points and seven rebounds.  Kelsey Kaiser pulled down eight rebounds.
