(a)The manager shall always be responsible for the team's conduct, observance of the official rules and deference to the umpires. (b)If a manager leaves the field, that manager shall designate a coach as a substitute and such substitute managers shall have the duties, rights, and responsibilities of the manager.
Meatball An easy pitch to hit, usually right down the middle of the plate. Member see "regular member" MENDOZA LINE A batting average of around .200. Named after Pirate shortstop Mario Mendoza. Metal Cleats Shoes designed specifically for baseball. Metal cleats feature molded soles with several small metal spikes, designed to provide maximum traction on baseball fields, attached to the bottom of the shoe. They are usually made of leather and fit much like a standard pair of sneakers. Metal cleats are not permitted in Little League and instructional levels because of the potential for injury, most often when a player with metal cleats slides into a base and the spikes are exposed (see spiking).
Molded Cleats Shoes designed specifically for baseball. Molded cleats feature molded soles with several small plastic cleats, designed to provide traction on baseball fields, attached to the bottom of the shoe. They are usually made of leather and fit much like a standard pair of sneakers. Molded cleats are most often used on Little League and instructional levels because the plastic cleats on the bottom of the shoes are significantly less dangerous than metal cleats.
MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL A minor division of the Little League Baseball charter, for participants 7-12years old (league age). A local league might have further divisions at the local level, such as Minor Coach Pitch, Minor Machine Pitch, etc. MOUND Hill the pitcher stands on while pitching.
