Chocolate Buttermilk Cake Recipe

• 1 stick butter
• 1 cup water
• 2 cups sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup buttermilk
• 1/2 cup cooking oil
• 2 cups self-rising flour
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Pour oil, margarine and water in a saucepan, bring to a boil. Set aside. Mix flour, sugar and cocoa in a mixing bowl. Add boiled mixture and the rest of the ingredients together. Mix well and pour into a greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350º for 30 minutes.

Icing

• 1 box confectioners sugar
• 4 tablespoons cocoa
• 1 stick margarine
• 7 tablespoons canned milk

Mix sugar, cocoa, margarine and milk. Bring to a boil. Remove from heat and pour in confectioners sugar, beating until smooth. Pour this over hot cake. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top.
