About Dragonball.

Dragonball is the original headliner for the successful anime series that has made its way throughout Japan and North America and soon the entire world. Dragonball is created by Akira Toriyama that was based also a manga series by him as well. The original Dragonball anime TV series made its debut in Japan in 1986 and lasted for 153 episodes. Production for the anime series was by Toei Animation. Dragonball followed the story of Son Goku as a child and his journey throughout the world. It generally focused initially on his travels with the friends he met and their eventual journey to search for 7 mystical balls (Dragonballs) that granted its collector a single wish. The series was also made popular by the action that was presented, via the martial arts genre. Dragonball is the backbone for the entire series, as it introduced the base of the characters that are prominent throughout the complete series. Since the 7 Dragonballs themselves were scattered in various parts of the world, the adventure/journey to retrieve them usually provided an extending motif in terms of various encounters, problems and excitement. However in comparison to the entire collection, this series is the most comedic due to its youthful exuberance expressed by the characters. The Dragonball series as a whole has created for an enormous fan base throughout the world. The company, Funimation, makes Dragonball available to North America. The original Dragonball series would also go onto produce several movies and specials in its wake.
