His mistake was having feelings for Android #18. He should of crushed the device to turn off the Androids when he had the chance.

Goku

He made a lot of mistakes, during Dragonball Z. During the Saiyan Saga, he fell asleep on Snake Way and fell off, back tracking his training from North Kaio-sama. This happening made him late for the battle on Earth against Vegeta and Nappa, if it wasn't for this, there wouldn't be no need to travel to Namek and wish back their friends. The only mistake he had here was let Freeza reach 100% during them fighting each other. If he didn't let him finish, most likley he wouldn't survive the blast from Namek's explosion, or he might even beat him sooner, they could of wished for Namek's explosion not to happen. During the Majin Buu Saga, he fought Vegeta allowing Majin Buu gain all of his strength, and to be revived. |
Gohan

During the Saiyan Saga, Piccolo, Krillin, and Gohan made up a plan to defeat Nappa, Gohan hesitated to finish off Nappa. The Cell Games, when he turned Super Saiyan 2, he toyed around with Cell and returning him to imperfection. At this stage Cell realized that he wasn't going to defeat Gohan, so he self-desturcted him self. But Goku steped up and teleported to Kaio-sama's planet, so it's all Gohan's fault that Goku dies again.

Goten

This mistake was nothing big, but if he didn't turn Super Saiyan, their friends and family wouldn't know who they are. Also they went different directions when #18 shot a Ki beam at them, if they followed each other, they would most likley have won the Tenkaichi Budoukai.

His mistake is telling everyone that he beat Cell. If he didn't say that he wouldn't have to worry about losing to the Z Fighters. |
Future Trunks

His mistake was in the Future, he let his guard down allowing Cell to come back into the past and absorb the Android's.

During the Tenkaichi Budoukai, him and Goten turned Super Saiyan allowing the people that know them know who they were, in the Mighty Mask costume. Also when #18 shot a beam at them they went seperate directions.

Vegeta
|
His ego is so big it ruins almost everything. First he doesn't accept help when he needs it thats a huge down fall. During the Cell Saga he lets, Cell absorb #18 allowing him to complete his perfection. Also in the Majin Buu saga, he lets Babidi posses him, and Goku and him fight helping Majin Buu to be revived and be at full strength.

He kicked off Android #16's head, this caused Gohan to turn Super Saiyan 2.

|
He didn't kill all the Saiyan's when he has the chance, even though he didn't know about Goku, they would eventually cross paths. |
Dr. Gero
|
His mistake was a big problem on his hand, he didn't record the records of the battles they had on Planet Namek. This gave the Z Fighters the upper hand, but he had a back up with the other Androids.

Original Buu

He allowed Goku and Vegeta to fuse together. Also he should of blown up Earth before the other Z Fighters came to fight him. |
