This cemetery belongs to those of the Catholic religion, with a deceased population of around 3500 physical remains, which date back to 1888. A mausoleum also graces the property. Though most of this burial place isn't as old, nor has the history of other cemeteries, its ghostly atmosphere is remarkably evident, as the spirits of the deceased continue to revisit their resting place.
This cemetery has a family connection, as my wife's father, whom I have never met, is buried here. His spirit has been felt at our residence; after all, she was "daddy's little girl" in the physical. To my wife, he is severely missed.
317 photographs were taken. Less than an hour was spent roaming the grounds. A previous visit on Christmas Eve, 2002, proved to be incredibly active, much more so than this current investigation. This could mean that spirits do acknowledge relatives, visiting their gravesite. Then, the cemetery was full patrons, with luminaries, a customary offering of respect during the Christmas season. This time, the cemetery would be empty, with the exception of my wife and I.
A quiet breeze swept through area, as if to say "welcome". As my wife went to visit her dad, I walked the grounds to take pictures. As I state in my books, you have to connect on a "spirit" level, so, as I walk, I pray. It is my theory that all cemeteries are active, due to the revisiting of spirits at gravesites.
In closing:
Unlike other places, in cemeteries, spiritual activity is always present. It seems spirits must visit their place of burial, as well as other places to complete each one's journey. Unlike our time, spirit time is much different. What are only a few minutes to the spirit could be years to the flesh.
If you decide to research your local, or any cemetery, respect all gravesites, as well as the cemetery grounds. Be observant of all rules, and closing times. Though most caretakers are okay, if they ask you to leave, do so. Remember the three basics of spirit investigations: " P.R.S. "
Permission / Respect / Safety.
