 | Laurana is an irreplaceable member of the Heroes. She grew up in Qualinost with the Speaker of the Suns as her Father. She was revered by her people and had a beauty unmatched in the elven kingdom. She has two brothers, Porthios and Gilthanas and also had an adopted brother, Tanis Half-Elven. She fell in love and has always been in love with Tanis which lead to her part in the War of the Lance. The Heroes traveled to Qualinesti where they were in audience and Tanis was reunited with his adopted family. Laurana took this as an opportunity to make Tanis fall in love with her. She childishly ran away to join them, throwing away her status as the Speaker's daughter, only to find herself thrown into an uncaring world where she was no longer the revered daughter. She either had to adapt or die and she adapted fearlessly, taking on many responsibilities of the war. During the war, Laurana was given the name The Golden General because she stepped forward to lead the Solamic Knights in their turmoil to unite them against Queen Tahkisis's legions. She was not readily accepted but after many viictories she was loved and held in high regards by the Knights. Laurana was the key to the turning of the war and the hero of the people of Krynn. She was loved by everyone but modest and not one to have a public fanfare (even though the people did it anyway). The war saddened her and hardened her heart especially after witnessing the death of her friend Sturm Brightblade and being disowned by her family for loving a half breed. The Golden General later wed her childhood lover, Tanis, and had a child. |
