Season 4 Reviews are now in progress. The sardonic attitude is still intact.
Season 3 Reviews are now complete. Don't mind the sardonic attitude; it's just me.
Illani Reviews Enterprise's First Season--My thoughts about Enterprise as the first season unfolded, including condensed reviews of each episode.
I meant to put my overall thoughts on the second and third seasons into files as well, and I still may do that, but I'm having enough trouble finding time for the weekly reviews, so it may be awhile.
First Season Reviews--my take on each weekly episode of Enterprise's first year as it unfolded.
My Second Season Reviews are here, minus two episodes ("The Catwalk" and "Dawn"). I hope to eventually get back to these and add them to my reviews.
Season 3 Reviews are now complete. Don't mind the sardonic attitude; it's just me.
Characters--descriptions of each of the main characters (will be up soon--I promise!).
Enterprise Fanfic:
I'm not going to write any serious fanfic on this show for awhile--I'm giving them time to develop all of the characters. But I do have several humorous stories listed below. Don't read these if you don't like to make fun of the things you love.... This set of fanfic is based on the idea that the characters are played by themselves, rather than actors such as Scott Bakula or Anthony Montgomery. However, this doesn't mean that their real personalities are necessarily like the ones the script calls for. As such, they often break out of character and start arguing with the director and/or camera crew. Oh yes, and they know about more than they should (for example, Archer's crew are often found citing some of the other series as an example of a particular situation). Just read some of them and you'll get the idea.
New (uploaded on 11/21/03):
"Temporal Cold War: The Wrath of Shran"--Another chapter in the TCW story arc; guest starring Silik, Shran, and Tholos.
"The Motionless Frontier"--Sort of a combination parody of the first and fifth movies, but featuring the Enterprise characters in place of the originals.
"The Search for Spark"--Various characters from the other four Trek series audition for Mayweather's role; guest starring...let's just say a lot of familiar faces.
Earlier silly fics from Illani:
"Students of Exchange"--A brief look at the constant struggle to be at one with the script; Archer loses his lines while Reed and Sato bicker and complain about their characters. This one is not as silly or humorous as the others.
"The Naked Then"--Archer and Tucker find ways to make a positive first contact with an alien while Reed drools over Sato and confronts an illness from his past.
"Welcome to Planet Hell"--Archer and his crew find themselves dealing with a camping trip on Planet Hell, and discover that there's not enough sleeping bags to go around. This is one of my favorites.
"Jurassic Farce"--Archer and his crew find themselves on a planet full of dinosaurs; Reed, Sato, and Mayweather have a philosophical discussion about death and redshirts while Tucker displays his usual intellectual brilliance. Another of my favorites.
There's also a crossover one, "A Warm Welcome"--The three 24th century crews call up the crew of Enterprise NX-01 and offer some bad advice.
Don't forget to take my fake poll, below.
Poll Question: At this early point in the game, who's your favorite character?
Your choices are:
Archer, the gallant (and somewhat crude) captain?
T'Pol, the ship's resident Vulcan?
Tucker, the southern engineer?
Mayweather, the boy wonder helmsman?
Reed, the somewhat trigger-happy Brit Chief of Security?
Sato, the ultra-talented but also ultra-nervous Comm officer?
Phlox, the alien doctor with a fondness for space leeches?
