D2 Review and Bill Roper Interview
While checking for the umteenth time if StarShack was up yet (it is now !!) I saw that Lan had posted there was a D2 review at Gamers Zone. Being the Diablo fan i am i, went to check it out :) This is an extensive D2 review that nicely incorporates an interview with Bill Roper. Covers all the basics, the new storyline, char classes, spells, towns, whats new in D2 along with the insights from Bill. There are screenshots, but some are very dark. This guy is definitely drooling for D2. Ah yes, a man after my own heart. ;) It's a fun read tho, I especially liked how he ended the review, hehehe :Special Thanks To:

Scum Runners Merger
I wish it weren't true but Scum Runners is merging with SC Legacy. They're allready in the process of moving the site. While I can't blame ZedZero, he just wants more spare time, I hate to see all the good sites merging like this. They seem to lose some of their personality that drew me to them in the first place. Ah Well, it's a great addition to SC Legacy anyway. Here's a portion of the announcement. Read it in all it's sad glory here.Enough whining, here is what is happening. We currently have one of, if not THE, largest scm database on the web, sound files, and tons of help to offer SCL.Amberite, Cleric and the gang are importing our Sound, SCM, and Help file databases to SC Legacy. once they are done, I will shut this page down. (BTW, their SCM site is totally based off of ours :)) I am going to take a sabbatical from web editing for a time, since I am a bit burnt out :) after that, you will see me rearing my head around SCL. If any map makers DO NOT want their map listed at SCL, please contact them and let them know.

Recieved this in email concerning the SC Demo and thought i'd pass it on. There was confusion on how far u could build the Terrans up in the demo, this clears it up. Thanks fro the info Fran :)Hi there,If you were wondering about the Starcraft demo. You can build higher than the siege tanks on battle.net. I've been able to build nukes, science vessels and turrets. I believe that every terran unit can be built including battle cruisers.

I heard about a site today that sounds really cool... Genius Soft's Starcraft Expansions. This site has been redesigned and is currently working on 2 new expansions, "Wars of the alliance 2" and "Heroes". Heroes should be out very soon. They allready have 3 expansions out (2 single play, one multiplay) and the storylines are inventive. Get the descriptions and download them here. SC.Org is reporting that EGN will soon add IPX/SPX emulation support as well as full ladder and tournament support. Couldn't find anything on the EGN page about it tho. You can read the SC.Org post here. EGN Features include:

Read at OGR that WizardWorks has announced that their authorized SC Add-On, Retaliation, will be available in August. Features include:
- 30 new single-player missions in 3 new campaigns (one for each race).
- 120 new multiplayer maps
- New heroes
- New sound effects
FFVII PC Review

Lazlo recently moved his multiplayer maps to http://www.starcraft.org/maps/ . (see All Multiplayer Maps link above) But this is not the cool news :) He has zipped all 52 maps, plus Blizz's weekly scms, into one file ready for download.
