Every unit command has a hot key, or keyboard shortcut, that you can use instead of clicking on the icons at the bottom right. Holding the cursor over any unit command button will display the name of the command. One of the letters will appear in Yellow - this is the hot key for that command. Using hot keys for special abilities, attacking, and construction can save valuable time.

Here's a partial list of the Terran Hot Keys used in Starcraft. Note that some hotkeys are race-specific. Unit names appearing in Red denote Brood War units.

G - Gather (for workers)
