Here are a few tips to get you started on this magnificent game.
GENERAL TIPS
If you want to avoid any needless battles in the world map just stick to the roads.
Don't let your HP fall below a quarter until you are confident and have recover.
Battles have their purposes. Outside Balamb Garden you can draw some very useful spells from the enemies, to put your strength up or HP up.
In battles against weak opponents, select the majority of your party to draw.
If you are having trouble with an enemy, cast zombie on it. If it works you can take it out with a single phoenix down.
Take notice of the tutorial at the start of the game. It can be useful.
Always keep a look out for draw and save points, as some of the best ones will be hidden.
If there is a very nice draw point, go back after a while and it should have recharged itself.
Always remember the trigger on Squall's gunblade, it can make the difference.
JUNCTIONING
Be sure to learn elemental attack and defense very quickly. With this you can make yourself involnourable to many elemental attacks.
Juction 100 pains to elemental defense, and 100 full-lifes work rather well as well.
Be sure to juction things to strength and HP early in the game to give yourself a valuable head start.
Full-life puts your HP up a stupidly large amount, so use it.
100 Ultimas will work wonders with your strength, so keep going to Shumi Village and buying them, it's well worth it in the end.
