Final Fantasy is one of the longest running series' ever. It is also definately the most prolific, as each installment is an exciting occasion, and should be celebrated for a very long time.
It has been very clear for a long time that Final Fantasy X will be no different, and, in fact, it looks better than anything seen before. The characters resemble those of VIII mostly, as VIII was the first of the series to make its characters lifelike, and not just cartoon like people with square hands. It's easy to get led into believing that it is better than all its predecessors, because it may well be.
The hero is Tidus, a famous sportsman, specialising in the sport called Blitzball, he is most recognised in his home town.
Although you may not like him from the very start, after a while you get used to his attitude and how he treats people.
Throughout the game you have the option of laying Blitzball at certain places, but it isn't an easy thing to master.
Be warned.
It is also the very first Final Fantasy to have voice overs for the characters. I just hope they are not a pile of pants like some other games that I could mention.
It comes out in England in August.
