Grants Associate / Account
Manager:
This position entails working
with clients to determine their grant needs, and ensuring that we
expertly meet those needs. You will coordinate with clients to
ensure a timely response to funding opportunities that fit their
needs, as well as plan projects and gather data for the
grant-writing process.
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills. You will
work by e-mail and telephone, and on site, to interview people and

it in a well-written memo for the grant-writer. You will also assist
in putting together all parts of the grant in a timely manner –
proofreading and critiquing the draft, ensuring that it complies
with all of the funder’s requirements, preparing attachments and
completing the budget and other forms.
The workload fluctuates seasonally and should average 10 to 20 hours
per week,
with a range from full-time to no work. You must be based in the Des
Moines, IA, area, but will be required to travel domestically (by
air or car) up to 15 days per month in peak grant-writing season
(January through June). Work locations range from large cities to

productively under pressure.

communication skills.
- Ability to travel long
distances.
- Being well-organized.
- Bachelor’s degree required;
relevant graduate degree preferred.
- Extreme punctuality.
- Prior experience in a grants
environment strongly preferred.
Salary will be commensurate
with qualifications. Writing samples and references will be
requested from selected candidates.
