Now, tying this back into Noromos, if you're trying out the webring thang, you have two options: the Bee Squad webring or the NoRomo-Friendly webring (thanks to Sonja of Acacia) . Combined, these will give you less than 30 results - that's not even discounting the repeated sites that are in both rings.

Sites with related links - the largest list of Noromo links I have seen is right here - my own links page! Around the place I have seen a few here and there, the next largest list being the Bee Squad, but absolutely any specifically Noromo-friendly sites are listed on mine. Even the really really crap ones which we both know don't belong there.

So that leaves search engines. But who is the most reliable? Who does the widest and narrowest search, who displays the most results? Who updates the most often? Huh? HUH?!

Altavista is a surprisingly good search engine. Although it doesn't list yours truly, is does search results in other languages, and then offers to translate them for you. This is a GREAT idea, although because X-Phile language is so jargon filled, translations aren't always spot on...but hey, it's free, so I ain't complaining. They also had the Noromo Love Page and Dawgtoons.

I result?? 1 result?! What do Yahoo think they're doing?! ...Sigh. Although everyone raves about Yahoo, perhaps it's more hype (and familiarity, and the fact that it's such an easy address to remember) than truth. One thing with Yahoo is that it doesn't really search the Web or the Net; it searches its submissions. That's right - to get your site on a Yahoo search, you (or someone else) has to submit it to Yahoo. Then there's the electronic red tape process...argh! That lone site, BTW, is MORSOR.
