Built by the French in 1751 Fort Beausejour has a somewhat short life. Constructed to counter Fort Lawrence it would fall after a two week seize to British and local forces in 1755. Used by the British it would see action again as it successfully defended itself during the American revolution. It was also manned during the war of 1812. It was finally abandoned in 1835. It is and interesting site with a great view. definitely worth a short look.
