The best way to advertise your group and /or era is by participation in parades. Most parades have a theme such as a town's birthday, a cultural event, an holiday like Remembrance parade, or a special event. I have participated with various groups in the following events, Natal Day parade, Remembrance Day parade and Canada remembers. Parades with vets is always a pleasure and depending on the size of the parade the public is always supportive. If you wish to be in the public eye to advertise your group , parades usually get TV air time, newspaper coverage and some times radio coverage. See a parade someday and meet a re-enactor.
