     To see British power at the height of the Victorian era, you only have to visit Citadel Hill. This restored British fort has an Army museum, animators, houses, fortification works and an excellent view of the harbour and other defense points within Halifax. Sight seeing tours include this gem in their tours and walk in tours are welcome. This fort was last used during WWII and an adjacent property, Royal Artillery Park is still an active military installation. The summer months are the best times to see this sight.
