For a nice day trip with family or even a camping trip there are many places of interest to visit in the Maritimes. Louisbourg offers an entire New France town of the 1700's, Citadel Hill shows the height of the British Empire during Queen Victoria's rule as well as King's landing. The first European settlement was in Port Royal. Most places are reconstructed with tours, animators, museums and built in historic services such as bakers, carpenters and other trades persons. If you time your visit right you will also may see a re-enactment of two! |
