Homer rents a shoot 'em up Western for the family to watch on their VCR. When the film turns out to be a musical, Homer is disgusted. Marge reminds Homer of the times he's sung and danced, and soon, the entire family is singing and reminiscing about the past musical numbers in their lives. After they sing and watch and old video of Bart's musical prowess, Snake leaps in through the window, wielding a shotgun. When he hears the Simpsons singing about everything they say, he leaves, believing they wouldn't make good hostages. Lisa croons about how Krusty, Mr. Burns, and Apu have done their share of singing in the past. Snake soon returns, ready to kill the family for putting an annoying tune in his head. When he tries to shoot the Simpsons, he realizes he's out of ammuntion and leaves. Marge sings about how churches, clubs, and government institutions often burst into song. Homer admits that there are worst things than musical comedies. Snake comes back to threaten the Simpson family again, but they tell him they are done singing, and he leaves. Marge absently hums by the living room window, and Snake fires a blast through it. Then, throughout the final credits, Snake fires and threatens his way through the end music. |
