The Mets were able to take a series rubber game and beat San Diego 2 of 3 games. Dice K had a stomach flu and only made it through one inning before having to leave the game. Carlos Torres took over, going 4 innings and Vic Black & closer Jennry Mejia each pitched two innings to finish off the game. Curtis Granderson's turn at the leadoff spot yielded a home run to start the early Mets scoring.

This was the third game in a row that I did not watch. I saw they had won and only watched the first two innings when the scoring happened. Winning two of three from the Padres does not turn around the Mets month but it should be expected that they win against a team that is beneath the Mets in the standings. I went to church, then shopping for a vacuum cleaner. You know, important stuff.
