A 13 inning marathon that included a fine pitching duel between Niese and Lohse, a 3 minute rain delay, a typical failure of the Mets to score with the bases loaded, and last but not least - a bullpen meltdown to give away the game. Not that Carlos Torres was bad, he was overused. Thirteen innings and the Mets only got 6 hits.
Tonight I got home from work and the game was in the 5th inning. I don't even bother watching games from the beginning any more. Once the Mets failed to score in the 11th, I went and played tumblebugs on my PC and waited for the game to be given away. I'm usually upbeat about Mets games, even when they are under .500 but this year is getting really tough to watch. Please tell me 2015 will not be this bad.
