Jesus is VICTORY!

04/05/2000 (5:46am cst)

Jesus, come and take my soul to Heaven. Jesus, come and touch me. Jesus came to save me from the wage of sin. Jesus is VICTORY Know His Word and God will grow His Teachings. Know The Truth of Jesus Christ; Know that He will never leave you all alone. No one else stands as JUST. {Following comes to MUST.} Jesus, help! I can't do it without you. Jesus, come and hold me. Jesus came to take us to the greatest view. Jesus is VICTORY Teach His Word for God has sent The Calling. Teach as He makes able. Teach to pass the knowing of His Holy Grace; Reach for the Lifeline cable. {Reach out and He'll make stable.} Jesus, come and take my soul to Heaven. Jesus, come and touch me. Jesus came to save me from the wage of sin. Jesus is VICTORY Andrew D. Festa

Beyond the edge of yourself

03/10/2000

Every thought is a journey to an unreached place of being; every sight not yet touched is a turn toward another seeing. Blind, no contact comes to be beyond the edge of touching; every measure not yet known is the burn of the not yet clutching. Tomorrow comes to tease the mind with a taste of the undistinguished; And as the 'morrow comes to NOW, alone we fall extinguished. Roll on the moment to the unknown. Stand at the outer edge of 'real'. Hold to no road aimed at dead end; Stand beyond what you may feel. You have to look beyond the held to moments not yet come to be; You can ride beyond the length of yourself because every thought's a journey. Andrew D. Festa

Fire it up

04/04/2000

This was written to coworkers at my old job in a local restaurant, and was written to try to bring a little bit of teamwork to an otherwise disjointed crew.

Jamb along like the unified; fire it up and make it all perk. When walking among the intensified, fire it up like a little bit of teamwork. Fire it up; keep the rhythm going. Fire it up; it's "the helping hand". Fire it up; be aware of every action. Fire it up; do the best you can. Roll along with the tempo of progression; Fire it up; let the rhythm work. When comes the heat of a busy, heavy session; Fire it up with a little bit of teamwork. Fire it up; keep the rhythm going. Fire it up; it's "the helping hand". Fire it up; be aware of every action. Fire it up; do the best you can. Ride the song of a well run team; Fire it up; stay on the alert. When come the patrons they'll see the dream that sparkles and smiles when you Fire it up with a little bit of teamwork. Fire it up; keep the rhythm going. Fire it up; it's "the helping hand". Fire it up; be aware of every action. Fire it up; do the best you can. Andrew D. Festa

Even in the face of chaos

05/04/2000

This was written specially for a co-worker who asked me to write a poem based on a particular theme.

When two union in marriage, the future is brightened by unlimited possibilities; a future that rides and fully rests beyond the touch of stagnancy. Marriage is a journey of growth and adaptation. The joining does not guarentee smooth sailing --though neither does not joining-- rather, it's a teaming of two hearts, a teaming that can share a smile, smooth a hurt, dry a tear and lend a meaning to and a reason for existence. It's a rough road that will sometimes pull and tug at the threads of the joining, but a strong love --a True Love-- does not worry about problems tending rather to learn and to grow. Such a love chases harmony even in the face of chaos. Andrew D. Festa

Smoothing the journey

04/16/2000

The soul of my heart sparkles at the very thought of you; we dance by the light of memories, embrace by the strength of love, union at the very edge of yesterday and I wet-eye smile... that...is its own reward. You are the spark from a yester-moment, a length of years that blesses me even now with the little bit of happiness that makes the journey smoother. The heart of my soul, sprinkled by the very touch of you hidden in the past, is the spice that brings the journey to a value more than the sum of its whole. Moments such as these make me so very happy God gave us the capacity to bring yesterday to mind. Andrew D. Festa

The Defining

04/26/2000

Today comes to happen; stonewise chisled moments of the arriving magnify in being, then in passing before shrinking to the gone. We are creatures of the moment... Temporally restrained, Spacially confined, Physically restricted, creatures of habit we stand on no more than the manifest, placing faith in no more than the held. THAT WHICH IS BEYOND THE THREE IS NOT DEFINED BY THE LIMITATIONS. Truly, stands the four: Time, Space, Matter, -------------------------------------- and SPIRIT? Andrew D. Festa

1) Life, at its best, is less than you might suppose, but more than you allow. 2) No one runs, without first standing. 3) Dreams are intangible echoes waiting for visionaries to "Picaso" them onto the canvas of existence. 4) Life is, it just IS Like a space----- The house will not build itself no matter how long we stare at its space. 5) Comes the 'morrow when dreams present themselves to the nimbleness of God-given talents and the fortitude of action. 6) Today is your life's beginning-- set the course and run the journey well. 7) {Long before Nike}... God said, "?JUST DO IT? Andrew D. Festa

At the edge of CHOICE

November, 2000

At the edge of night, shadows dance in the merriness of mayhem, content to skirt The Light with no advance and no desire to say "when." All vision blurs, all truth fades or is magnified, and all falls to lost or comes to found. We test the waters of eternity, unable to see even the slightest drop of it, but unwilling not to try for fear of missing out on that which we disbelieve unless proven wrong. We can not seem to step beyond the edge of night into the bathing Light, though niether can we quit the edge for fear of stepping too far off to change our minds... but, "Nay," says The Lord. "You must CHOOSE or lose." Andrew D. Festa Return to TOP
