Today May Lee had her visa picture taken...

Smile for the Camera

... and then we went for the medical exam.

May Lee Says, "You First"

Crowded Waiting Room

Steve got on the scale with her, and then without her, to see that she weighed 10 lbs the day we got her. Many people in the group have told us that she looked like she had gained weight, so last night Steve weighed her again. We were excited to see it confirmed today on the doctor's scale that she has gained a little over 2 lbs in the 10 days we've had her! That doesn't sound like much, but that's huge for her.

I Don't Even Want a Hat!

After the last part of the exam, a doctor came out and wanted to talk to us. It really scared us. Veronica, our guide, translated that we need to make sure we give her lots of nutrition. She then said she thought the baby would do well and that we seemed loving and that we would be good parents. That was very encouraging and made us feel good.

Just Give Her Back!

It is so fun to see her grow in personality and strength. She is not such the bobble-head she used to be and is building those abs to sit up one day. She rolled from her stomach to her back today, that was exciting. She fits in well, as she, too, loves to hear herself talk!

This afternoon Lou stayed with the kids, and Steve and I each had an awesome one hour massage - half back and neck, and half feet and legs - for less than $10 each. Just goes to show how cheap labor is in this country. Even all the sidewalks are tiled or bricked.

Tonight our group (11 families) walked to a local restaurant to celebrate - one little girl, Julianne, turned one today!

Group Dinner, China Family-Style

The food was great, some of the best Chinese food we've had.

I'll Have the Pig Tongue Please

We all sang "Happy Birthday" to her, and you can just imagine the looks, as every table in the restaurant was full.

Looking forward to coming home, we are starting to count down the days!
