John Hannan kicked a 27 yard field goal with three seconds remaining on the clock to give Bryan Station a 28-25 victory over George Rogers Clark. Bryan Station recorded 11 first downs and 214 yards of total offense. The Defenders were penalized five times for 43 yards and lost a fumble. George Rogers Clark recorded 19 first downs and 334 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized nine times for 103 yards and lost two fumbles.

Kerwin Montgomery led Bryan Station’s ground game with 61 yards on 12 carries. Avery Johnson carried the ball eight times for 35 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour recorded 23 yards on four carries. Coleson Carpenter completed five of 10 passes for 47 yards. Kamani Barbour completed both his passes for 40 yards and two touchdowns. Michael Saenz caught three passes for 12 yards and a touchdown. Kaiden Simpson added one reception for 39 yards and a touchdown. Kamani Barbour recorded one reception for 23 yards. John Hannan kicked field goals of 33 and 27 yards and punted twice for a 43/5 average with a long punt of 52 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line. Jordan Haskins and Alaji Bojang each returned one kickoff of nine and eight yards respectively. Jordan Haskins led the defense with eight solo and one assisted tackles. Raymond Young added six solo and three assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Alaji Bojang recorded five solo and two assisted tackles. Sedrick Armstrong chipped in with five solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Kamani Barbour recorded four solo tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a one yard loss.

Braylon Nester led George Rogers Clark’s ground game with 162 yards and a touchdown on 25 carries. Landon Belcher carried the ball 11 times for 68 yards and a touchdown. Carter Muzic recorded 25 yards on three carries. Stryker Davidson chipped in with 19 yards on four carries. Carter Muzic completed six of 11 passes for 58 yards and one touchdown. Athias Morris caught a 30 yard touchdown pass. Zay Leaval added one reception for 18 yards. Athias Morris returned three kickoffs for 86 yards with a long return of 34 yards. Haddon Cecil returned one punt for 16 yards. Stryker Davidson led the defense with three solo and two assisted tackles with two of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards. Cole Rose added two solo and four assisted tackles. Carter Muzic recorded three solo and one assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a nine yard loss. Zay Leaval also recorded three solo and one assisted tackles.

Lafayette defeated Henry Clay by the score of 37-14. Lafayette recorded 15 first downs and 436 yards of total offense. The Generals were penalized 14 times for 105 yards and had two passes intercepted. Henry Clay recorded 14 first downs and 204 yards of total offense. The Blue Devils were penalized seven times for 46 yards and lost a fumble.

Harrison Stephens led Lafayette’s ground game with 61 yards on eight carries. Tyree Richardson carried the ball 12 times for 48 yards. JJ Richardson recorded 41 yards on three carries. Jehovanis Kondo ran for a touchdown. Jehovanis Kondo completed 11 of 20 passes for 280 yards and four touchdowns with two interceptions. Colton Coleman caught five passes for 160 yards and two touchdowns. JJ Richardson added three receptions for 37 yards and a touchdown. Cale Locklar added a 67 yard touchdown reception. Cale Locklar returned two kickoffs for 51 yards with a long return of 27 yards. Jackson Grantz led the defense with nine solo and two assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling two yards. Triston Taylor caught a three yard touchdown pass from Darnell Burnside with 29 seconds left in the game to give Tates Creek a 34-30 victory over Paul Laurence Dunbar. Tates Creek recorded 19 first downs and 376 yards of total offense. The Commodores were penalized 12 times for 165 yards and lost a fumble. Paul Laurence Dunbar recorded 17 first downs and 345 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized 11 times for 90 yards, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted.

Darnell Burnside led Tates Creek’s ground game with 30 yards and a touchdown on three carries. BJ Evans carried the ball 10 times for 19 yards. Darnell Burnside completed 23 of 28 passes for 322 yards and three touchdowns. JT Cooper caught 11 passes for 125 yards. Triston Taylor added six receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns. Luke Cooper added three catches for 21 yards. Marquis Hale caught two passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Luke Cooper returned one kickoff for 42 yards. Triston Taylor returned one kickoff for 26 yards. Blake Hitchcock was four of four on conversion kicks kicked field goals of 32 and 26 yards and kicked off five times for a 53.2 average. Rekus Greer led the defense with six solo and four assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in an 11 yard loss. Shawn Taylor added five solo and six assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.  DVaughn Flowers recorded four solo and six assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling six yards. Andrew Holloman chipped in with one solo and three assisted tackles with 1.5 of his tackles resulting in losses totaling five yards. Lazarey Warren intercepted a pass he returned 15 yards.

Noah Barrett added one reception for 33 yards. Azarious Rawlings returned two kickoffs for 30 yards with a long return of 19 yards. Dominic Faulkner returned on kickoff for 27 yards. Luke Ayoob led the defense with five solo and two assisted tackles. Ryan Barrett added three solo and one assisted tackles. Grayson Rodgers recorded two solo and three assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a four yard loss. Christian Academy of Louisville raced out to a 41-0 halftime lead on their way to a 62-7 victory over DeSales. Christian Academy of Louisville recorded 347 yards of total offense while DeSales was limited to 115 yards. DeSales had no answer to CAL’s aerial attack as the Centurions were a perfect 15 of 15 in the passing attack and scored seven touchdowns.

Tyree Stoner led Christian Academy of Louisville’s ground game with 80 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Jeffrey Vazzana carried the ball four times for 35 yards. Jackson Burke completed 14 of 14 passes for 222 yards and seven touchdowns. Tyree Stoner completed his only pass for 10 yards. Ja’Hyde Brown continues his assault on defensive secondaries with five receptions for 149 yards and three touchdowns. Gaines Howard added five receptions for 57 yards and two touchdowns. Micah Akin recorded two catches for five yards and two touchdowns. Micah Newsome led the defense with five solo and six assisted tackles. Stone Perkins added five solo and one assisted tackles and scored on a 36 yard fumble recovery return. Jackson Settle recorded one solo and five assisted tackles. Kellan Hall recorded four solo and two assisted tackles. Eric Jones also recovered a fumble.

Daniel Ortega Vazquez led DeSales ground game with seven yards on three carries. Cameron Bischoff scored one touchdown on the ground. Cameron Bischoff completed 14 of 24 passes for 147 yards with one interception. Silas Jones caught four passes for 78 yards. Kingston Merritt added six receptions for 33 yards. Luke Thompson recorded two catches for 22 yards. Caleb Choate chipped in with two receptions for 14 yards.

St. Xavier led 17-0 early in the second quarter and survived a Trinity rally to earn a 17-14 victory in this battle between traditional football power houses. St Xavier took a quick 7-0 lead on a blocked punt recovery for a touchdown by Alex Walker. They continued to dominate early taking a 17-0 lead on a 25 yard field goal by Owen Davidson with 11:57 to go in the second quarter. Trinity closed the margin with two touchdown passes by Zane Johnson but could never overtake the Bombers. St. Xavier recorded 12 first downs and 259 yards of total offense. The Bombers were penalized eight times for 49 yards and had two turnovers. Trinity recorded 16 first downs and 298 yards of total offense. The Shamrocks were penalized five times for 40 yards and committed two turnovers.

Jackson Frey led the St. Xavier ground game with 45 yards on six carries. Daniel Vollmer carried the ball 14 times for 42 yards. Jackson Frey completed 14 of 25 passes for 176 yards and one touchdown. Daniel Vollmer caught five passes for 59 yards and a touchdown. Alex McClatchey added three receptions for 76 yards. Cam Taylor recorded two receptions for 25 yards. Alex McClatchey returned three punts for 15 yards with a long return of 13 yards. Alex Walker returned one punt for two yards. Aiden Graham returned one kickoff for 14 yards. Aden Reeder, Brayden Reilly, and Kobe Clapper led the defense with nine total tackles each. Griffin Lyons added eight total tackles including four sacks. Jake Britt recovered a fumble and Brayden Reilly intercepted a pass he returned 17 yards.

Jamaurion Berry led Trinity’s ground game with 65 yards on 15 carries. Romelle Spearman carried the ball nine times for 23 yards. Ashton Taylor recorded 20 yards on six carries. Zane Johnson completed 16 of 24 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Jason Hagan caught three passes for 84 yards an da touchdown. Kaleb Warner added three receptions for 62 yards. Cross Watson recorded two catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. Liam Sellinger returned two punts for 14 yards with a long return of nine yards. Brennen Lowe and Elijah Burns-Crump each recorded five total tackles. Sonny Bratcher, Myles Howze, Ke’anthony Call, and Luke Vize each recorded four tackles. Sekou Kamara added three tackles and recovered a fumble.

Scott County defeated Anderson County by the score of 49-0. Scott County recorded 12 first downs and 246 yards of total offense. The Cardinals were penalized eight times for 60 yards and lost a fumble. Anderson County recorded five first downs and 59 yards of total offense. The Bearcats were penalized six times for 57 yards, lost two fumbles, and had one pass intercepted.

JT Wells led Scott County’s ground game with 56 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Jay Herring carried the ball once for 38 yards. Ian Keeth recorded 22 yards and a touchdown on four carries. Skyler Way carried the ball four times for 20 yards. Timmy Emongo added 20 yards and a touchdown on two carries. Red Owens gained 20 yards on one carry. Jayden Garrett recorded 19 yards on two carries. Jam. Herring carried the ball twice for 14 yards. Charlie Ellison added 11 yards and three touchdowns on five carries. Charlie Ellison completed three of four passes for 26 yards. Ju Ju Harmon, Keller Futnish, and Timmy Emongo each caught one pass for 12, eight, and six yards respectively. Moses Markel returned two punts for 31 yards with a long return of 31 yards and returned one kickoff for 53 yards. Red Owens led the defense with six solo tackles with four of his tackles resulting in losses totaling 21 yards and recovered a fumble he returned for five yards and a touchdown. Eli Faris added three solo and two assisted tackles. B. Kenwright recorded three solo and two assisted tackles with one of his tackles resulting in a two yard loss. Brady Bowlin recovered a fumble and Ashley Brewer intercepted a pass he returned 23 yards.

Hudson Hatfield led Anderson County’s ground game with 19 yards on seven carries. Hudson DeGarmo carried the ball 17 times for 18 yards. Henry Cooper completed five of 10 passes for 37 yards with one interception. Donavon Fallis caught four passes for 35 yards/ Hudson Hatfield returned two kickoffs for 41 yards with a long return of 21 yards. Donavon Fallis returned three kickoffs for 28 yards with a long return of 17 yards. Hudson DeGarmo led the defense with three solo and one assisted tackles. G. Alsabrook also recorded three solo and one assisted tackles. Ezekial Pacheco recorded two solo tackles.

Rio Litmer hit Tayden Lorenzen with an 18 yard touchdown pass with three seconds left in the game to give Highlands a 31-28 victory over Covington Catholic in a game destined to be remembered as an all time classic. Covington Catholic had taken a 28-24 lead with 41 seconds on an eight yard run by Cash Harney. Both quarterbacks Rio Litmer and Cash Harney flawlessly executed their final drives of the day. Highlands went to their work horse Tayden Lorenzen all night and he responded with three touchdowns on the ground and caught to game winning touchdown pass. Highlands recorded 21 first downs and 406 yards of total offense. The Bluebirds were penalized four times for 20 yards and had one pass intercepted. Covington Catholic recorded 15 first downs and 362 yards of total offense.

Tayden Lorenzen led Highland’s ground game with 83 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries. Rio Litmer carried the ball four times for 32 yards. Gabe Williams recorded 30 yards on five carries. Colt Kremer chipped in with 30 yards on seven carries. Aidan Duncan carried the ball six times for 28 yards. Rio Litmer completed 14 of 19 passes for 175 yards and one touchdown with one interception. Tayden Lorenzen completed one of two passes for 25 yards. Gabe Williams caught three passes for 63 yards. Cale Harris added four receptions for 48 yards. Ian Garrahan recorded four receptions for 48 yards. John Feldbrugge caught three passes for 23 yards. Tayden Lorenzen added an 18 yard touchdown reception. Gabe Williams returned two punts for 59 yards with a long return of 36 yards and returned four kickoffs for 68 yards with a long return of 25 yards. Chase Jacobs returned one kickoff for 13 yards. Ryan Dunn, Max Merz, and Isaac Niemann each recorded four solo tackles. Michael Tincher and John Feldbrugge added three solo tackles each.

Dylan Gaiser led Covington Catholic’s ground game with 88 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. Cash Harnet carried the ball 14 times for 11 yards and a touchdown. Cash Harney completed eight of 18 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. Dylan Gaiser completed his only pass for 44 yards. Owen Pitzer caught one pass for 91 yards and a touchdown. Zach Brooks added three receptions for 75 yards. Dylan Gaiser added two catches for 55 yards. Logan Sanning chipped in with two receptions for 21 yards and a touchdown. Gabe Weis caught one pass for 16 yards. Dylan Gaiser returned three kickoffs for 64 yards with a long return of 27 yards. Mac Cogswell returned one kickoff for 28 yards. Cash Myers led the defense with 11 solo and three assisted tackles. Logan Sanning added seven solo and three assisted tackles and intercepted a pass. Brando Smith and Brady Guard each recorded four solo and five assisted tackles. Gabe Weis added seven solo and one assisted tackles and Tucker Evans added four solo and four assisted tackles.

Lloyd Memorial raced out to a 15-0 lead in the final quarter but had to withstand a Bourbon County rally to earn a 22-20 victory and knock the Colonels from the unbeaten ranks. Lloyd Memorial recorded 281 yards of total defense, lost a fumble, and had a pass intercepted. Bourbon County recorded 169 yards of total offense, lost a fumble, and had two passes intercepted.

Lincoln Tomlinson led Lloyd Memorial’s ground game with 86 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries. Avery Conrad carried the ball eight times for 29 yards. Kaleb Evans completed 14 of 24 passes for 159 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Isaiah Jones caught two passes for 63 yards and a touchdown. Colten Barger added seven receptions for 41 yards. Billy Lewis recorded two catches for 33 yards and a touchdown. Lincoln Tomlinson led the defense with 12 solo and six assisted tackles. Avery Conrad added five solo and five assisted tackles. D. Peterson recorded five solo and four assisted tackles. Ryan Miller chipped in with four solo and one assisted tackles. Brayden Schneider recovered a fumble and LJ Herron intercepted two passes.

Shayne Bowling led Bourbon County’s ground game with 33 yards on nine carries. Jacob Ezell carried the ball once for 14 yards *. Malachi Rennie completed 10 of 27 passes for 100 yards and three touchdowns with two interceptions *. Jacob Ezell caught six passes for 78 yards and two touchdowns *. Myles Heilig caught one pass for 37 yards. Bryson Carr recorded three receptions for 16 yards and a touchdown. Malachi Rennie led the defense with five solo and three assisted tackles. Shayne Bowling added three solo and four assisted tackles. Fred Carson recorded two solo and three assisted tackles. Kareem Davis chipped in with one solo and four assisted tackles. King Lee recorded three solo and two assisted tackles. Quinton Rice recovered a fumble.

(Note: * One source reported that the 15 yard touchdown by Jacob Ezell was a running play. However the Bourbon County stats recorded it as a 15 yard pass to Ezell from Malachi Rennie. Sometimes it can be difficult to ascertain where it is a shovel pass or a hand off but for purposes of this writeup I left it as a pass.)

Conner got back in the win column as they took advantage of early Boone County miscues to roll to a 53-14 victory over the Rebels. Conner recorded 333 yards of total offense. The Cougars were penalized 12 times for 95 yards and lost a fumble. Boone County recorded 251 yards of total offense. The Rebels were penalized five times for 44 yards, lost two fumbles, and had a pass intercepted.

Joesiah Hernandez led Conner’s ground game with 81 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Mason Buckler carried the ball four times for 49 yards. Tristan Campbell recorded 25 yards and a touchdowns on two carries. Jasiah Lampkin carried the ball four times for 20 yards and two touchdowns. Grayson Montgomery also ran for a touchdown. Grayson Montgomery completed 11 of 20 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns. Aydin Depenbrock caught seven passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Travis Keen led the defense with four solo and four assisted tackles. Ethan Estvanko added seven assisted tackles and recovered a fumble. Henry Krallman recorded three solo and two assisted tackles and scored on a 23 yard interception return. DeShawn Champ chipped in with four assisted tackles and recovered a fumble.

Steven Johnson led Boone County’s ground game with 80 yards on 19 carries. Hunter Butsch carried the ball twice for 15 yards. Michael Chiasson completed eight of 13 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns with one interception. Mason Coughenour caught three passes for 100 yards and a touchdown. Amare Newberry caught three passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Javier Diaz led the defense with 10 solo tackles. Hunter Butsch added six solo tackles and recovered a fumble. Travis Hodges and Mateo Granados also recorded six solo tackles. Liam Kolks chipped in with five solo tackles and Jeremiah Sanchez added four solo tackles.

Frederick Douglass played a complete game on both sides of the ball in a 14-0 shutout victory over Male on the road. Frederick Douglass recorded 15 first downs and 301 yards of total offense. The Broncos were penalized once for five yards. Male recorded seven first downs and 174 yards of total offense. The Bulldogs were penalized twice for 25 yards and had one pass intercepted.

Dakari Talbert led Frederick Douglass’ ground game with 192 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. Jeremiah Turner carried the ball seven times for 30 yards. Jayden Guzman completed 11 of 15 passes for 127 yards. Kane Pointer caught five passes for 66 yards. Terry Cayson added three receptions for 33 yards. DeAndre Clay recorded two receptions for 21 yards. TJ Stewart chipped in with one catch for seven yards. Cionne Conn returned one punt for eight yards. Cionne Conn led the defense with one solo and five assisted tackles. Jimmy Hooks and Keenan Banther each recorded two solo and two assisted tackles. DeVaughn Ellery, Tacor Fields, and Thurman Wade each added two solo and one assisted tackles. Demond Green recorded two solo tackles with one of his tackles recording in an eight yard loss. Keenan Banther also intercepted a pass.

Christian White led Male’s ground game with 49 yards on four carries. Steron Davidson carried the ball six times for 33 yards. Tyson Kinsel recorded 24 yards on six carries. Cortney Jones chipped in with 12 yards on four carries. Jordan Williams completed five of 13 passes for 51 yards with one interception. Steron Davidson completed his only pass for 14 yards. Jesse Jones caught two passes for 31 yards. Saivion Vaughn caught two passes for 25 yards. Seth Hanson punted three times for a 43.7 average with a long punt of 46 yards with one punt inside the 20 yard line and kicked off once for 60 yards and a touch down. Ja’Ron Combs led the defense with six solo and three assisted tackles. Steron Davidson added six solo tackles with two of his tackles results in losses totaling seven yards.
